You are one of my favorite posters so I’m not trying to bait you into debate. Just throwing out a counter point of view. I’m not an  anti vaxxer at all. But I am hesitant on this one. It’s not CDC approved, but emergency approved. And I remember when the left (I include myself here as a support of Bernie) rallied behind Sanders and his crusade against big pharma.

Fast forward a few years and you are an imbecile if you question Moderna or Pfizer on a rushed vaccine that you cannot sue them for. Again, I have no problem with vaccines but this one only has emergency approval and the ones making this thing have an ugly track record.

I don’t want to be tinder boxed, so I’ll leave it here. I just don’t get the hate for those questioning this thing. I feel like many here judging those who aren’t getting it we’re also rallying with Bernie Sanders going after these same people, you know? I mean it wasn’t long ago that Sanders was calling out Pfizer specifically.

I’m good with anyone that wants to get it. I just don’t get the sudden hate for those distrusting of these big pharma companies.

I think people should wait until a couple hundred million Americans get at least one shot before they decide if it's safe

e: okay I'm being a dick here but it's important to know that usually the reason vaccine trials take years is because the sample groups aren't that large.  It's not a time thing so much as it is a matter of getting enough volunteers to do the studies.  The big 3 vaccines in the US will probably all have full FDA approval by the fall because the group it's being tested on is so huge.  The side effects we've seen from the J&J vaccine for example are so rare in such a large group that they probably never would have been uncovered in a traditional clinical trial.

Yeah and although the process has been accelerated, it has still been rigorous. They aren't cooking these up in dirty bathtubs.

It's unfortunate that people will have bad reactions to the vaccines and die. But without the vaccines, even more will die. I am sure the instances of ANY vaccine not having some cases of mortality or serious side effects are rare.

But, ultimately, people can't live the way we are currently living in the long term. This isn't 12 Monkeys, it's a manageable risk for human beings(ESPECIALLY with some modicum of protection offered by these vaccines). It doesn't matter what end of the "Idiot Anti-Vaxxer/Anti-Masker" to "Mask Nazi/People Without Vaccines Should Be Jailed Jackass" scale you fall, we are ALL fuging tired of this poo. We ALL want to get back to a relatively normal life.

I knew you where a makers mark guy! Been around many boozehounds in my life....not one that constantly grabbed makers was a bad person.

Makers does some consistently very good stuff that isn't as hype crazy as all the Buffalo Trace products. Available, affordable, delicious.

Works for me.

Much like how I post about value on this board, thats where Im at about booze. I thank the gods Im not a label person. I did lots of travels for a point of my life, came across a great piece of knowledge- 12 bucks is(was) the go to price point for whiskey, almost anywhere in the states you could find a good whiskey for that(changed since then). Never treat myself to makers like I should. I mainly research the upcoming sale prices on the ABC website and go form there, issue is Im not low enough to do so. Been on a costco wine run, but Im a pure whiskey man at heart.

Yeah, I definitely like some affordable bourbon but....I do also have a large collection of allocated and rare bourbon, as well. Lol.

So, I am a little hypocritical in that regard.

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
