Brushed off questions on interviewing, last thing on his mind

What on Darnold''s tape pre-trade impressed: 
    Seeing him make reads, make throws, play off schedule, identifying protection
    Getting a young vet was extremely enticing to us

Mindset has not changed on CMC post injury.  You can feel the difference when he's on the field. 

CMC's work ethic is impressive

Asked about Teddy's comments on  rz  and 2 min
     Brushed off- but did say we had a lot of 2 min opportunities and we didn't.....I didn't get the job done.
     I evaluate myself every year and we just got to be better in those situations

He thinks it important to involve the TEs.  The system he grew up in, the TE's were most important position and he wants them in the passing game

Marshal's mindset separates him, never to high or low, productive every game, would have been more if not surrounded by other great players,

I don't see Tremble as just a run blocker, I see him as complete TE

System needs to evolve every year.

OTA reps are so vital.  

Question about David Moore....we have two David Moores.  Still coming up with the names to differentiate.  Need a name for Brady Christensen too cause they're both Brady.

Darnold still is on mattress on the floor... he is all ball and wants success.

On WR David Moore- has made plays, hope to help us 3rd down an RZ

Samuel's third down touches will be distributed based on situation and performance

I found him starting to talk about missed opportunities to say HE had to get better, refreshing. 

I think we are lucky as long as we have him.

We had extensive discussion last year questioning whether Brady just didn't want to use the tight end or the personnel we had at the position were just that bad.

Guess we know the answer to that question now.

Yeah, I remember in Thomas's presser he talked about difficulty learning the new system last year with covid and zoom...so maybe it is all mental mistakes and not mastering the offense.

I'd really like to hope he's getting better, but the comments from Igo and Joe Person about how he looked in practice aren't exactly encouraging.

You would think the writing is on the wall, but I have not heard any mention of any of the other TE's (Besides Arnold or Tremble) on the Roster really stepping up as of yet, if one of them does then Thomas is definitely out, I'd think...but so far no one's saying C. Thompson or S. Sullivan (or Giovanni Ricci) looked really good today.

They might cut him later and bring in someone after the rosters are trimmed.

Those other guys also dont save us 2m by cutting them. Thomas is gone, we have no reason to keep him around. He could not manage to do anything noteworthy as the #1 TE, how will he be any better as the #3 TE?

Snow's presser was so refreshing yesterday, seems to have the D locked in and focused. Brady, maybe he has an uphill battle with Sam and a questionable O-line but I can't imagine him getting a head coaching job anytime soon unless a team buys all the media hype. Comes off a little smug

      We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that

      There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
