Question...what if P.J is better then S D?

It’s pretty straightforward. Busts didn’t get 2nd contracts. Pretty simple. Wentz(who I forgot) is like Tannehill and Goff. All played well enough for the team that drafted them to invest a franchise QB deal in them. And I still didn’t include them in either list.

As opposed to whatever jumble of reasoning you just put out there. My parameters are very clear. You have a better measurement. Please share with us all. Not a single data point. A large sample size.

Oh.  I didn't realize our whole goal was to find a QB that could earn a 2nd contract.   Carry on then.

I'm enjoying this banter. 🙃

When we get to actual football season some of the TB aholes rear their ugly head.    I put him on ignore, tired of looking at his ugly ass stealers ring.  He can feel free to rail away like an idiot against the mute.

Never been to the TB and whatever keeps you happy and delusional, you should do it.

While Rhule also added that he’s undecided on if the team’s starters will be a go, it’ll be nice (and fair) to see Grier at least work with the likes of Terrace Marshall Jr., Omar Bayless and Tommy Tremble, as P.J. Walker did in his largely positive performance

That last part...lol

All this proves they rather go with Grier>Darnold

It was largely positive because the expectations from last season were dirt low. They are literally saying 10/21 is a positive performance for him.

Darnold is the starter, not going to change unless somebody gets injured.

Grier/Walker are both below average back up QBs.

Question: When is Darnold going actually start ????

Weeks 1-17 of the regular season. That is typically when starting QBs play. This reduces the chances of losing your starting QB to injury during the preseason and increases your chances of success by starting your most qualified signal caller during the games that impact your record.

Now since that has been explained, let’s take a second to address your grammar on that post.

”Question: When is Darnold going actually start ????”

The correct way to ask this question would be “When do you think Darnold is going to actually start?” OR “I have a question, when is Darnold going to start?”

Phrasing is this way makes it easier for the reader. Also there is an excess of punctuation that is not necessary.

PJ Walker lead the offense to 4 scoring drives in a half.  Pretty sure that is positive, especially given it was the first action on the year and he only has 1 NFL start to his name.

And don't forget Darnold's getting all the practice reps, so he had very few chances to prove himself.

    • So we have a pretty tough schedule for the remainder of the season.  I believe I saw where it's the toughest remaining schedule in the league.  To even think about the playoffs we IMO have to, at minimum, win three of the remaining six.  49ers - We will have to play an amazing game to win this one.  We are down to backups at LB (at least for now) and Kittle is probably going to have a big day.  CMC must not go off on us.  PFF had a pregame analysis and actually the two guys running the show were split on who wins.  They even said it was disrespectful to the Panthers to be 7pt underdog.  Evero is going to have to have a great gameplan.   I'm on the fence but this game is in SF and I think we lose. Rams - We're at home that is about the only advantage I see in this game.  LA is one of the best offenses in the league and I just don't think we have the firepower to beat them.  The only way we win is if we can control the clock and keep LA's offense off the field. Saints - We have to go into this game on a mission.  WE HAVE TO WIN THIS GAME.  Hopefully, Canales has a better gameplan and we win.  This is a very winnable game. TB x 2 - The only chance, IMO, of winning the NFCS is we have to win both games.  Many talking heads say TB is faltering some and can be had.  By week 15 and 17 we should be hitting on all cylinders.  If we win, it's going to have to be a pretty mistake free. Seahawks - they have a very tough defense, and I think we get shut down.  Our only hope is to pressure Darnold into mistakes like he did this past weekend with 4 INTs.  As with the Rams we are going to have to keep this a low scoring game. My hope is  49ers- Win Rams - Loss Saints - Win Bucs@Home - Win Seattle - Loss Bucs@TB - Loss 9-8 Record My Fear 49ers-Loss Rams-Loss Saints-Win Bucs@home - Loss Seahawks - Loss Bucs@TB - Loss 7-10 record
    • With Motons deal (stupid), Hunt, Lewis and Mayes and Icky upcoming our line is going to be the most expensive again in the nfl.   Its going to be an interesting snap shot if this type of team building works.
    • We have an easy out after this season with marginal dead cap. Could be smart given the situation and RB landscape.  This part isn’t at you—but in general: None of these guys are world beaters — sure they have been great for us at times but I just hope we don’t get this emotional investment paired with financials. I don’t think we need to teget all antsy about keeping Dowdle when he’ll be 28 next year. I don’t mind just continuously taking a stab in the late rounds every year on one.  We should not be investing in one guy in particular when they’re not really a game breaker. See: Sanders, Hubbard, etc.  I’d say heck yes, take a shot at a guy high up if you’re convinced you’ve landed a Gibbs or Taylor level, but otherwise, don’t invest, don’t get emotional about a 3-4 game stretch. Reset and see what type of committee you can construct with fresh legs.
