Meh, he kept his hand inside and held the jersey "between the tits". O-line gets away with that more often than not. It happens somewhere just about every snap.

Yeah, the refs can call holding every play if they wanted. It's the sort of thing the Panthers get called for while their opponent gets away with it.

We might know it, but that's news to Fitterer, Rhule, Brady and Meyer who went out on the first day of FA and signed them both to decent contracts.

You don't go after two veteran, ex-first round picks, that aggressively if you don't think they're the answer.

Those were such head scratching moves.

I'd rather see BC and Brown after the week of practices and pretend game versus Indy. Give them some first tream reps. What is it gonna do, stunt the growth of two veteran players? I only see upside playing those guys more.

Maybe Brown can win a starting spot in the near future. Maybe he can transition his dominance of the SEC to the NFL. He’s a very large and powerful human

I don’t understand the Little draft pick criticism. He was highly successful as a starting LT in the SEC.

wtf else do people want around here, Jesus H

I watched them both very close during the game and stated them same thing on the gameday thread. Only thing left to do is play them with ones, doung anything else is just a waste of time. Sucks brown got hurt and hope he is okay. Dont need any reason for the staff to hold him back.

I understand that in the past the LT takes care of the blind side but in today's NFL I've also heard repeatedly that there is less and less difference between the RT and LT spots.

If this is true then why not try Brady at LT?  I know he has short arms but screw the metrics.  If the boy can play the position, let him.  He's been at LT a ton in college.  Moton has pretty much been the RT for all of his time.

Why work so hard to flip them?  Are the measurements on a player really that important?

Its funny, I was in an argument on another thread where someone was trying to convince me that Deonte got beat on that play.

People see what they want to see sometimes.

You have people on this forum who get upset and bent out of shape if you mention Deonte was a performer in the SEC lol

You may be able to count on one hand the number of players in the NFL who will out power the rookie , if any

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
