Okay, first if all, I apologize to the mods for another thread treading the same topic over and over. But after reading this, from a non-Carolina fan, where's there's smoke....

Now, I wanted to make it a poll, PJ or Sam... simple, who do you have more faith in as a fan, not what anyone else thoughts, like coaches, reporters, etc...but your honest opinion. This is the off season regardless how this season goes, good or bad, we in it together. Alot of people like to talk the talk, use others opinions as facts, so who's willingly to walk the walk. Let's have fun, if you on the fence cool...but there's clearly a division amongst us when it comes to how we deal with the QB position.

You have to be a fool to think not one person in that locker room thinks PJ deserves his shot ...can they openly say anything right now, no, but you can see, almost feel the energy because that's hope, inspirational.....

I wish someone loved me as much as you love PJ…….🥰

There's no QB controversy. It's just click bait.

You know, it amazes me that people come into a clearly titled thread to complain about the topic instead of simply not clicking. Actually, it doesn't amaze me. It's par for the course. I just don't understand what drives people to do it 🤔

Seriously though, you're right 😃

Key difference being I didn't imply anyone was stupid trying to invite a fight.

Smitty and Zarzour said nice things about Chuba Hubbard on the broadcast and he got some national attention.  RB controversy incoming?

The difference, CMC actually is good...but

Coaches and executives look at the preseason as a buffet line for these types of players — the guys who, based on their preseason performances, prove that they’re ready to help out by any means necessary.

Now that the first week of the 2021 preseason is in the books, here are the Secret Superstars who might be on their ways to unexpected roster spots… or perhaps even starting spots.

Yes, it’s the preseason, but if you superimposed this play over one of Russell Wilson’s more daring red zone throws, there wouldn’t be much difference.

Was Chuba being compared to one of the best RB's in the league?, pretty Fittin' huh...

There used to be a time when Huddlers talked up mediocrity. Now, they're ballyhooing sub-mediocrity.

PJ ain't it. Just accept it! If he's better than Darnold, then the Panthers have profound problems.

I feel like YOU, not you per se, but your overall thinking is why Darnold isn't being showcased out there as of yet, if he fails earlier, and PJ's been the answer the whole time, how dumb do you actually look...???

Once again not attacking you personally, like you're doing a member of this team but hey that gives me a right to talk about Sam....smilez

    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
    • I understand that some people want WR. I am solidly against using yet another high pick there. Coker is pretty good and we used No picks on him.  What I think we really need at WR is a little bit of a Smitty lite. It is ridiculous to say let’s get a Smitty because you just can’t do that, but someone not tall and long striding but more in his mold. I think we’d have a pretty well rounded group.    Looking at tackle, with replacing Moton looming, it just seems like the no brainer.  You fill in Icky short term. Depending on how he recovers, and how the new guy plays, you go from there. A tackle at 19 is most likely either a LOT, a ROT, or a big talented guard, at worst. We will need all three in the next couple of years.  I would love to have a stud ILB be there at 19 but the OL is the responsible thing to do I believe.
