Christian McCaffrey will be “very, very limited” during the third preseason game vs. the Steelers.

Sounds like it’s very likely he won’t play at all.

Reddick had a vet day off. He was a little sore from the game and joint practices. Tremble had an excused absence for personal reasons. Expected to return tomorrow.

Matt Rhule says that rookie TE Tommy Tremble is absent for personal reasons. S Kenny Robinson’s knee injury suffered during the preseason game should keep him out 1-2 weeks. Good news.

Matt Rhule said he wants starters to get a good half (or maybe less) Friday against the Steelers, with the exception of McCaffrey. He’s likely on the shelf until the Jets game. Christian seems OK with that.

John Miller working on the side at the moment. Dennis Daley with the ones at right guard.

It’s actually hotter for this practice than it was at any point in Spartanburg. Probably won’t be a long one. Haason Reddick and Tommy Tremble headline today’s absences. DJ Moore is practicing after sitting Saturday.

The Panthers made three of the roster moves they needed to make by Tuesday's deadline, waiving three players following practice.

The Panthers waived wide receiver Krishawn Hogan, guard Marquel Harrell, and defensive tackle Walter Palmore.

Harrell and Palmer were signed last week, while Hogan was signed early in camp after a tryout.

The Panthers have to reduce the roster from 85 to 80 by tomorrow's 4 p.m. deadline, so they need to make two more moves this week.

The final cut to 53 has to be in by next Tuesday, Aug. 31.

I don't know how you're posting the tweets. I have the Huddle set to dark mode and your tweet posts come out as black letters on a black background. Either I highlight the tweet or fake quote you to read them. Very annoying. Can you fix this?

He should get some touches.  Fire tempers the best blade.

Only if we are running a full compliment offense. And even than just maybe a check down, one up the gut and a few swings. The guy doesn’t need the reps except for staving off injury like you say.

Zod said he had fixed it a while back.  Maybe send him a message on it.

@Zod @CarolinaHuddle

This happens only with tweets posted by @Captain Morgan. Everyone else's post okay. Help!

Is there something I need to do?

    • It is like when you go to da buffet at da Golden Corral and dey have all dis food and you get the same thing every time.   There is probably something you would like more, but you go to da same ol racks and get da same ol food every time.  Not sure why I am writing in trailer park dialect, but hey, watcha gonna dooo.
    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
