Panthers are the better team and the jets can’t handle the panthers defense right now, but Wilson is a dude.

making throws all over the field.

does it look the same on tv?

I came away from this game really impressed with Wilson.   Good mobility & can keep a play going.  Great arm.   Accuracy was impressive at times.

And I like that he came back from a rough first half and played much better in the 2nd.

All in all Wilson seems like he's got what it takes to be an NFL QB.   I just wonder (and even doubt) whether the Jets will surround him with enough support (good receivers, OL protection, running game) to help him fully develop his talents.

If he had better receivers and any semblance of pass protection they win this game. He’s special

He has Corey Davis and a 2nd round pick at WR. Two first round picks and a highly thought of vet RT on the Oline.

How much more help does he need?

Dude is gonna get David Carr'd we beat him in the ground his arms were bruised to hell dude is gonna be one big bruise tom.

Honestly if they can put a competent line together next year I think Wilson is gonna go places. I did not think that after watching his college highlights but after today you can see he’s got something.

He tough, I will give him that much.  We gave him hell the first half and he kept fighting. Give him a chance to get some experience he'll be all that was advertise.

NYJ needs to sell the farm to get him a solid O-line.  He gets planted much more like Brown did late in the 4th quarter he won't survive in the NFL long.

But they HAVE sold the farm to get him an Oline.

    • I think what makes a qb elite is when every week you think your team has a chance to win because of your qb. No matter who they play, they always make you feel like you have a chance. I have not gotten that feeling once while watching Bryce.
    • Great point!  The quotes from O'Connell about teams failing rookie Qbs and the one about how you coach them after 3 picks and a loss were really interesting.  To me, an idiot with a keyboard, it means NFL teams need to be patience if they are going to have quality QB play. So bringing me to Bryce, is there some benefit to being patient.  I know it's not a particularly popular opinion around here, and even I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it.  Most QBs, when benched lose their confidence.  It takes a LONG time to get it back.  Bryce on the other hand was benched, and came back a different player.  I feel like that's worth a lot more than the physical talents of a guys like AR15... I think Bryce has the mental make up to be a good NFL QB.  His problem will always be his tools.  Now it's on coaching to work around that.  Bryce is more physically gifted than late years Drew Brees (low bar, I know).   While I'm content to see what happens this season, there's a small part of me that says...maybe we should see what grows?  (let me duck and hide from the well earned vitriol the Panthers have earned). Then again, I agree that some guys get it while others just don't.  I'm still hoping for the Panthers and Bryce to find success this season.  But if not, I won't be too surprised if the plug is pulled and there is a restart.
