Where are the posters saying Darnold can only hit check downs to CMC?

Where are the posters questioning his leadership?

Come on out, guys. Tell me why Darnold isnt going to work out because he's the same he was in NY under Gase.

It's pretty easy to see who doesn't actually watch the game based on the people who post this.

I think mav's point was that Sam can make all the throws and not be checkdown Charlie or rather Checkdown Teddy like some here said earlier.

Ah sorry original reply didn't mean to implicate Mav who I replied to, but the quotes of those who think Sam Darnold is just checkdown charlie, so agreeing with his point.

I still haven't gotten use to how incredibly quick Sam's release is. The ball launches off his hand

Seeing him side step traffic in the pocket, to launch the ball 20 yards on a frozen rope, and hitting a receiver in stride is a thing of beauty.

man he had DJ for a TD if he just took a little bit off his laser-of-a-throw to him.   Just off his fingertips....

Very pleased with his progress overall thus far.

If he hit this throw the narrative we’d be hearing right now from media is that he would be borderline elite. That would have bloated his numbers and been a replay they’d show over and over

I think we are seeing Darnold grow in chemistry with DJ and some other receivers so I wouldn't be surprised if he is hitting those by end of year.

Well if anything was proven last night, it's that the Jets did not truly break him like the Texans did to David Carr.

But yeah...it's imperative that they keep him healthy which is why i would like to see more bootlegs and rollouts.

I was going to say this ^^^...

He hasn't been broken and the Clay is still ready to be formed into a franchise QB...

The flashes of a 1st round elite QB is still in there somewhere.... Big arm, going thru progression, got wheels can throw lasers from different platforms and can make off scripted  plays when needed.. Now Hopefully we can find pocket awareness and protecting the ball better .. But the 1st 3 weeks are a big step in the right direction...

This is essentially his first true Rookie season since he's getting some actual DEVELOPMENT for the first time ever.

Lets jump in the Wayback Machine and go back 5 months- "We can trade this and next years #1s and a couple of #2s and get a TOP 3 QB!!! Brilliant!!"

OR

"We can trade next years #2 and #4 and get a TOP 3 QB from 2018!!! Plus, we get to keep DJ Moore!! Brilliant!!!"
