Sam Darnold said he thinks Christian McCaffrey will be back this season, but adds that’s him being optimistic.

I figured it was a hamstring pull, day to day. Is it a full tear? Wtf is going on here.

His gait was fairly unimpaired from the short clip I saw of him walking to the tent. Full tear would be obvious.

I couldn’t put any weight on my leg after I tore my hamstring and had an exaggerated limp when I would walk through the pain. He doesn’t have a full tear.

He will probably miss a couple of games. The good news is that Sam was forced to make throws to a bunch of other receivers and our backup RBs were forced to find ways to get yards and they all did it. Will be a big confidence boost going into the Dallas game. Would’ve been a lot worse to lose CMC in the Dallas game and then figure out life without him with bullets flying.

We can gameplan now without him.  I think that was our problem in the first half last night, no plan for no CMC.  Brady made adjustments and put something together for the second half that wasn't as reliant on McCaffrey being in.

We had CMC long enough to get our feet under ourselves.  I'm torn but kinda hoping he rests and heals for a few games even if it's minor.  We've always known we've got to be able to pull out a few wins without him.  I'd rather try that out with the teams we face now rather than the ones we face at the end of the year.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
