It’s Official….Sam D was worth the trade.

I believe Sam is as good as it gets with what we’re expecting from this franchise. If the defense continues to play legendary, he’s beyond serviceable and actually pretty good.

The lack of any connection on a deep ball where Rob doesn’t have his man beat by 10 yards is concerning and honestly what’s holding him back from being in the top 10

What do you want to go by? TDs? Completion %? Yards? Wins? Let me guess we will just use your “eye test” because nothing else backs your nonsense.

My eye test tells me he can’t connect on a deep ball, and if it weren’t for the EXTRAORDINARY talent we have at WR I wonder if he would even start here

Gtfoh with those garbage time numbers. Goff has been in mvp consideration before. Those TD runs by Darnold are more about play design than actual skill

Goff has been with a great team with great coaching... Sam hasn't.. What does Goff look like this year..

Yeah his deep ball accuracy is poo.  We left at least 2 TDs on the field because of overthrown balls.

Show me a single QB that does not have a couple pass attempts that they wish they had back each game. If not for the terrible ref call which wiped out a fumble recovery, and resulted in a TD for the Cowboys, we are in this game. What really separated this game was the play of our O line. They are the glaring weakness on the team. Even with all the injuries on defense, we still show more promise than this garbage line that’s only missing….elf.

Dude. It’s not like a pass here or there. He’s literally thudded every long throw (that would’ve absolutely blown games the fug open) attempt this year. I’m desperately waiting for one of our football historians to tell me I’m drunk and stupid in the regard and prove it

I am ok with Darnold, in spite of the intercepts, he made up for those with the TDs. Sam has to get more protective coverage. Our receivers have to make better efforts to catch the ball, even when not dropped in their hands.  Look at the tape- own your mistakes.  Next week get the (W)

That’s my point, as soon as things don’t go well they fold. Darnold currently is on a talented team with good coaching were till today hasn’t even trailed a second of a quarter.

And since you like using garbage time numbers, you do know Goff numbers are better than Darnold’s?

Todays game was basically a carbon copy of last year with Teddy, bad o-line, bad defense and no Mccaffrey. Neither Teddy nor Sam are the type of QBs to carry you out of holes.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
