This offense is totally dependent on Christian

With Christian we are 3-0. Without maybe 0-3. He keeps defenses from exposing how bad our line truly is. And there is zero doubt it is the worst OL in the NFL. Darnold has had his worst day as a Panther today, but damn if he has either been hit or running for life. The few times he hasn't been he has been off. I stopped counting on how many drops our WR have had today. The many issues this offense has are hidden by Christian. I'll judge Sam on how this offense works when our Superstar is back. But no matter what, our off season in FA and the draft have to fix the OL

This is where I've been moving towards after seeing this season unfold.

How do you blame today on the OC? WRs dropped damn near everything. And he dialed up perfect plays to get us to overtime. And Sam to start the game threw an INT with no pressure on him after holding the ball for like 6 seconds. The player shat the bed. Not the OC.

I'm not solely blaming Brady.  As mentioned, I'm leaning towards this after the season has unfolded.  WRs had an off day, doesn't discount the rest.

Offense was dependent on Darnold, CMC, Arnold, and Zylstra converting 1st downs. Now, it is just Zylstra and Sam's legs, and they are opting for DJ Moore instead of Zylstra.

I like Moore and Anderson as primary receivers down field, but they're not going to cut it on converting the tough first downs in tight windows with consistency.

yes, not having one of the best players in the league on our team is hurting us

Its not just the plays he makes, its the things he takes away from the defense even when not targeted. With him in today's game, there is no way they bring that all out rush and that opens up the field since their LB can't drop into coverage.

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
