Why? Because he got injured and missed 14 games then went on and joined the Patriots 5 weeks before the season started and played in one of the most talent deficient offenses in NFL History? On top of a COVID year? That's what you're basing Cam's current ability on? Yikes. Typical blind sheep only believing what you read and hear instead of actually thinking for yourself. I'm sure you were one of the many excited for this season and believed this current team was a playoff team at the beginning of the year too weren't you? Lmao!

I watched Cam in preseason. Better than any of our qbs.

The uncomfortable truth, this organization convinced the fans cam was done or we had better options, for the second straight season we see that they made a mistake

Doing a bad job replacing him doesn't change the fact that Cam is toast.

By the way, how are his numbers looking this year? Surely he's tearing it up to take a position like this.

Not the point. Cam Newton is the single most important player to ever step foot in Bank of America stadium and you treat him like poo for Teddy and Sam.

It's professional football, not the local country club. He hasn't earned some right to hang around and to eat a huge paycheck while sucking.

They absolutely did Cam dirty. He deserved a shot with the new coach. And if we sucked we would have been in position to draft a QB.

But we wasted last year with a phantom QB in Teddy Bridgewater and then Sam Darnold.

Cam looked 10 times better in preseason than anything we’ve had since he left.

Yeah meanwhile we are free falling and what’s the pats record again ?

trying to prove your point you made my point in the same breath, should have kept him for his last year and draft a replacement like most of the logical ppl on this forum stated

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
