Because he wants to play.  If no one else is calling, I have no doubt he would return.

I have many doubts with the way it was handled and not just from Cam's side.

I also don't dislike Cam enough to wish that upon him coming back here right now.

It just baffles me. We have numerous posters who literally only post to complain about others voicing opinions. Like WTF are you even here? This cannot be a fun experience for you.

Can you imagine a Panthers forum where everyone held the same opinions?

That would be the worst of all possible football forums.

Yeah, it was bad enough when Cam was in his prime, but watching him get pounded every week behind our current line would be hard to watch.

Too brutal. I can laugh at Sam but not Cam getting thrown into the meat grinder. Guy deserves better than we can give right now.

Whether we would wish it on Cam doesn't really matter I think.

I will reiterate.  Cam wants to play.  He said he wants to play.  He got vaccinated.  If we call, I have no doubt he would come back.

I will caveat that by saying the price would have to be right, and I doubt we would call.  But I have no doubt it could get done if we were willing.

I don't think we should bring him back because I think his arm is shot.  But I think he would come back.

Didn't we get rid of Cam because he couldn't stay healthy, but then didn't Cam proceed to stay healthy all last season?

When we got rid of Cam people were like he won't stay healthy again .. then Cam proceeds to put up vintage Cam rushing numbers

Julian Edelman had the best game in his career with Cam, after only months together, but had a decade with Brady. Chew on that, Edelman was with Brady a decade but his best game came with Cam.

Ya think? It blows me away how many troll posters we have who just post because of getting triggered by other people being willing to voice an opinion on something. If opinions trigger you maybe you shouldn't frequent a forum that is primarily here for the exchange of opinions.

So would you be one of those ones who throws stuff at a wall and sees what sticks too

Could you imagine having an aneurysm over Bridgewater not challenging deep and Darnold's inconsistent mechanics only to say that Cam could save us?

Let the poor man transition to the next stage of his iconic career already. Stop asking him to come get annihilated behind a non-existent OL again. Y'all hated it when they did it to him but are the first ones to sign him up to do it again. 😮

    • Fug Em!   Lil bastard was milking injuries most of his time here. The moment he leaves he's all of a sudden a workhorse RB and a MVP candidate.   *Poo me up I'm a big boy I can handle it.
    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
