Lineman PFF grades?

So wait.

Our line wasn't historically bad?

What is this world?

I mean, if you don't start those players again - minus Daley - how can you even say performance matters?  We haven't seen grades like that for our line since . . . I can't even remember.  Not this year.

Sam definitely didn't get injured on that sack either..Judon softly rolled him over, basically tagged him

Yeah I dunno... Darnold didn't seem to take any rough hits (altho he got knocked around a lil)vs NE...

But if it was an "aggravation" it makes more sense...

the fact the panthers have ran it a ridiculous amount the past two games really helped the pass blocking

no body recovers from a concussion like Darnold had in 6 days not to mention his shoulder was probably gone

not to excuse his poo play in general, but i mean finally putting up ranks above a high school oline 10 weeks into the season after Darnold has been destroyed really doesn’t help anything

still bottom of the league is pass and rush block win rate…

overall currently ranked 29th in the league lol. I’ve never seen worse watching the panthers since 1999

Carolina’s offensive line had some glaring weak points on paper heading into the season, and they have been exposed through the first half of the year. Taylor Moton is among the league’s better right tackles and the best-graded player on the unit, but even he isn’t having his best season. He has allowed 19 total pressures, the same number he surrendered all of last season. Cam Erving has a 56.1 overall PFF grade, and just one starter has a pass-blocking grade above 55.0.

1. LG Michael Jordan (75.3)
2. WR DJ Moore (69.1)
3. LT Cameron Erving (68.0)
4. C Sam Tecklenburg (67.4)
5. RT Taylor Moton (61.9)

This is all I saw, our top 5 graded players

So from this and previous post, given these are overall... PFF says Jordan was better in run blocking than pass blocking while Tecklenburg and Moton were better in pass blocking .

    • That might balance out because apparently the Texans O-line is ass. He did manage to throw for almost 300 yards the last two weeks though.
    • Don't forget that Rhule actually took Tepper's offer to the Giants and they balked. He was just seeking the big payday which should have been a red flag. I have no idea how much time Tepper spends within the Panthers building. I do know that he in the past has been too much involved. He supposedly held weekly meetings with Reich. Then after firing Reich Tepper he held a press conference where he did virtually all the talking and made it about himself. Before that Tepper went out of his way to bloviate to the press about how he spoke to Bryce Young months before the draft and directly told him he wanted him to be a Panther. Then he went to the well of his selling point about Bryce being a point guard and we wouldn't need to invest in elite weapons. The guy thinks and talks like he knows what he's doing. At the end of the day the franchise has been in the gutter in large part due to he and his wife's involvement. It is what it is. Appreciate the convo.
    • Unlike most of you, I do not assume the FO thinks he is beyond repair.  For the first time since 2017 the Panthers have a chance to be in the playoffs. One more game will tie them for the most wins since 2018, 2 more wins will put them at 8 wins - the most in 8 years.  Hate all you want but a big part of that success has come from Bryce. He got them in the hole with Miami but he got them out of it as well and was a big part of that win. Against Dallas, he played very well throughout the game plus he converted on a 4th down in the final minutes putting them in FG range for the win. He may not have had a good game against the Packers but he did convert on two 3rd down conversions in the final minutes to help seal the win and of course the Falcons game was his best yet. Tepper likes him and they have a huge investment in him as well. You don't just throw that away unless you have something concrete lined up behind him - which I just don't see.
