This is foolish. Nothing inconsistent about anything but the offensive line. He came in first week 2 touchdowns no ints next week 3 touchdowns no ints this week 1 touchdown and 2 picks and his arm is shot and way to inconsistent lol

There are several factors in our offenses struggles lately. Cam not knowing the offense since he just got here a few weeks ago, OL, etc. But fact of the matter is that anyone who has watched Cam the last several years can see that his throwing shoulder is not stable at all. He cannot drive an offense with his arm at this point. He has some solid passes but way too many of them are completely off the mark, and it's not just normal inaccuracies that any QBs have, it's his arm clearly being unable to consistently throw accurate balls. It's tough to see and his energy and return were a welcome sight after Sam, but Cam is absolutely not the answer at QB going forward.

Does anyone nowadays actually care about watching the game or is it all shitty hot takes and Twitter edge lording ?

I mean cam did not play good but the whole team in totality look like slop, it would be a world difference if his play was solely the reason we lost.

play cam, you know what you have in Sam and Pj

He generated plenty of velocity on his pass to Moore today so to say his arm is all gone is one thing. He won't ever be gunslinger cam again yes that injury destroyed his elite arm strength. But him not knowing the offense is just the price of doing business when you since a qb midway through the season. You could go with PJ but you see what that would get you.

There is no fix for this that time and another season  baking in the oven will only fix. I think most of cams inaccuracies come with no time to release the ball and pressure. Sure that first int was on him. Second one I think 50/50 Moore got beat up badly and Howard an elite corner won.

What Rhule also admitted in his explanation of sitting Cam today was, if the other team gets the lead, the game is over because we can't protect our QB when they know we have to pass, Brady can't call a game, and the defense can't stop the opposing offense when they can't commit to the pass.  The end.  Fin.

Stop it dude P.J came in and immediately 2 sacks taken and then sends up the Ole PJ special a Pick right on Que.  This tells me it's not a Cam problem it's a offensive line problem qbs aren't magical creatures that create offensive line play and make wrs good. You need players around them especially the offensive line.

Look at Jacksonville they landed a generational talent in Lawrence.... he's getting destroyed. Look at Wilson the qb many of us wanted for the jets... getting destroyed. It doesn't matter who the qb is if he can't turn around after a 5 step drop.

So it wasnt a Darnold problem either right?  Right?

Darnold had a 4 game stretch of putting up what 1-0 touchdowns and the ints. More ints than cam on a weekly bases. Cam before this game 5 touchdowns 0 ints. Even this week 1 touchdowns 2 ints is about as good as daronld does on a average week. So it's a combinations of the 2

Cam even while playing bad is scoring more than darnold. Darold throwing ints and not scoring thats the difference and the level of competency at the position.

So everyone else is at fault when Cam does the exact same thing Darnold got ripped for?   Got it.

Darnold isn't scoring like at all..  Cam is battling and scoring.. Darnold going 3-4 games without a touchdown and you want me to say he's better than cam? Cam in 3 games has scored more than darnold in what 7? How is that equal?

May as well start Cam. Absolute floor is he keeps sucking, but gets a proper send off from the fans. Upside (and more likely) case is he knocks off some of the rust, gets up to speed on the playbook, and has a decent run to end the season (and gets an even better send off). Not really anything to be gained by trotting out PJ Walker or Darnold.

Realistically, it’s three dudes who have no medium- or long-term future in the league, but one of them is 1) beloved and 2) very probably still the best player of the three. Pretty easy call, IMO.

    • I have said if you out even an average QB into the offense we are averaging 25+ points a game. But that will never happen with Bryce under center.
    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
