The opposite of Rhule. In both of Rhule's seasons, we played our best football early in the season and then went downhill. At least last year we rained competitive for the most part. We're just getting our teeth kicked down our throat this year. How anyone could see any hint of progress this season is beyond me.

i will agree with you on this...we have gotten considerably worse...not showing progression or improvement

Cam went out of his way -- unsolicited -- to speak well of Rhule and say he wanted to play in CLT again next year & be part of the solution...

Cam's a professional, and a cynical person might suggest he's simply hedging his bets. I didn't see/hear it though so have no thought.

Good on Cam for being professional about it, but despite what the fan boys think, Carolina is Cam’s only chance at a paycheck next year. What do you expect him to say?

The truth.

Nah - Cam could easily be blowing smoke here. I'm not saying he is as I have no idea, but if he does harbor any negative feelings Cam definitely understands that there is no upside for him to say anything other than these types of comments. He may also be grateful to Matt for the opportunity to come back while thinking he sucks on the football side or any combination thereof, but this could range anywhere from the truth to complete front.

Iti's pretty obvious it took about 3 games for the whole league to completely figure out our playbooks/game management issues. That's not gonna go away with higher draft picks and the best FA's, etc. Rhule has shown zero reason why he should get multiple years to learn on the job with no guarantee he's actually ever going to be any good at basic in game management/adjustment. He's shown that his "culture" is one of excuses and scapegoating

    • He was always the guy who didn't care about practice or being prepared. That works when you are a freak athlete and aren't in a position that has to do those things. What made Dion work as an athlete is what makes him a terrible agent. Yeah he has always been a pooshow. His kids probably think it's normal but Shaduer just paid the price big time. Started the video and it's already Dion bonkers lol
    • This is also why in a way, I don't want T-Mac to get to 1,000 yards, because I think it means XL or Coker took a step back. While maybe that would be good for T-Mac's growth, I have absolutely zero, in fact, less than zero concern about T-Mac becoming THAT guy for us and being a Top 10 WR every year with legit Top 5 potential. And even though I have faith that XL and Coker can be that 2/3 combo next to T-Mac in the future, I have far more concern in the two of them getting there than T-Mac being that #1, so their growth is "more important" to me this season than T-Mac's, in that sense. Thielen's presence will suppress the numbers T-Mac/XL/Coker put up, but his presence is what is best for Bryce's growth, which is more important than anything with the WRs this year because we need to know if he's going to be that franchise QB for us. If Bryce already proved himself to be that guy, Thielen isn't even on the team this year and none of this is a debate, then yes, T-Mac would HAVE to put up 1k this season.
    • I've gone back to buying Panthers merch for the first time in a couple of years. Have some optimism for the first time since we drafted Bryce, which quickly met it's downfall.  Don't fug this up, Panthers.
