Pretty much our only option is to trade down, pick QB with the first pick and oline with the rest.

It’s terrible we have to trade down just to try and get picks back from a horrendous trade. These decisions by owner, gm, and coach have really set us back for awhile.

Kenney Picket and Matt Coral are the clear number one and number two right now with Sam Howell, Desmond Ridder, Malik Willis, and Carson Strong all have solid arguments for the number 3 spot. Of course, all these rankings are subject to change as we move deeper into draft and scouting season.

yep, its insanity to think we are going to make another bad trade to try and make up for the original bad trade.  Both my brain and my gut are screaming at me that no team is going to give us fair value for pick 6/7.   If it happens I can see Pitt moving up from the mid teens and giving us their 2nd and next years first.  Thats not worth it IMO

I’d take that trade if Matt gets another year. A new staff with two first rounders in 2023 would be awesome.

If rhule is fired and we get real nfl coaching I’d take Malik. If rhule is here I’d rather they trade down and pick oline. If we’re in the midteens with a trade down, run to the podium for that center from Iowa. I’m gonna guess rhule isn’t gonna make it after year 3 so let the new staff draft a qb.

If they threw in an extra 4th, I'd take that. Draft a QB in the middle of round 1 then take Offensive Line in rounds 2-5. I think Darnold is a likeable guy and I still think he has potential, but we can absolutely not go into next year with just him and PJ again. We needed to have someone we can turn to if and when Sam starts to fall off a cliff again.

Thats not enough and Pitt tends to always pick mid late first

The value of a top 10 (6ish) is very steep

I have a feeling we’re gonna be picking top ten again next year. So a top ten pick plus a mid round first would be great with a new staff imo. I get it though.

Sam sucks. He’s never going to be the long term answer. If rhule is here next year I hope he starts Sam again because he will fail spectacularly. Darnold is the worst starting qb with clean pockets over the past 4 years.

    • Thats a weird take, we had no chance at keeping Kobe
    • "by name"?  You mean they are letting him say he is retiring or stepping down? That's even more embarrassing than being fired (he basically quit) and so transparently false that the media will kill him and this university.  If this happens, I may just turn full fledge to an SMU fan since I live in Dallas now. I'm just about sick of this university's approach to basketball and football.
