voters are largely all media guys.  Media has been brutal to Cam since Auburn.  It would take him a long time to get in and probably all the guys who covered him to no longer be voters IMO.

I can already imagine the "Couldn't read a defense, not a drop back passer" arguments from the cuck racists. Even the clown show that is Mark Sanchez was spewing that bullshit on the broadcast last Sunday.

Cam is probably a longshot, sadly. His career was just so short for being so bright.

As much as I like Cam, he is nowhere near HoF quality.

Ever adding his rushing yards to his passing yards, he's in the company (yards wise) of Dave Krieg, Boomer Esiason, Donovan McNabb and Matt Hasselbeck.  Add his rushing TD's to his passing TD's and you get . . . Dave Krieg, Vinny Testaverde and Russell Wilson.

Those aren't the right numbers.  He didn't win the SB.

The one glimmer of hope we have for him is that he did win an MVP.  It's rare, but not unheard of, for a former league MVP to not end up there.

HOF shouldn't just be about what the stats add up on a sheet at the end of the day.

for example this post to a degree....suggests Vinny T and Russell Wilson are comparable.  They aren't.

Vinny T simply played in the NFL for 21 years.  21 years.

London Fletcher isn't a better LB and more deserving of the HOF than Luke Kuechly.

Cam was a uniquely dominant player.  One that stands alone in the modern NFL.  That's why he has a HOF arguement.

Sam Mills and Jared Allen are finalist

89 didn’t make the cut.  3 first year guys did make the cut.  Ware.  Hester.  And…….Andre Johnson.

Holt, Wayne, Johnson are the 3 WRs.  Hester too but we all know he is a ST HOFer.

Makes no sense for Smitty. The NFL wants everyone on their network to be a hall of famer and is probably a major reason Smitty is doing television there. Hester I kinda get, Ware absolutely should not be in. Smitty was better than Andre Johnson. Sam Mills better make it this time.

The longer he plays, the further he is from the HOF too. Sad to say.

I mean if you made a argument for Hester I get it. Even for andre to an extent. These guys are great as well. Buy I don't think you can make the case Johnson should be in before smitty I'd the thing.

Hester I would put in ahead of Smitty because he is the greatest returner of all time.

Johnson, though? Absolutely not.

Some truth here.  If he walked after his injury his odds would be better.    Last couple years have been bad for the story on Cam.

Yeah, it doesn't help the "injury" storyline, even if it is true.

I can't hate the man for wanting to still play. I just hate to see him as a shell of his former self.

Oh, 100%.

Had Cam not been injured, I suspect that he'd have a ring by now and Rivera would still be our coach.

    • I am gonna believe it wasn’t us if the 4th round pick price is accurate. We needed 225 points to get from 19 to their pick. 875 at 19 to 1100 at 14.  Our 2026 4th was valued at 56 points I think. A future 4th has less value. So that wasn’t close to enough.    It would have taken our third and our fourth. Comes within a point of even.    Now, moving to their spot in the second round we could have done but after Miami took Rodriguez why would we?
    • Yep,and Blake Miller have had more experiences than Freeling,Lions did not sigh a vet T like Walker,so they had to pick Miller.
    • I mean it's expected.  This is the NBA.  And they hate the Charlotte Hornets.  Flagg was also the guy "magically" given to the Mavs who lost Luca to the wildly popular Lakers.  Was always an uphill battle.  But the award is BS since it's not voted on before play-in starts. Kon probably lost because of the play-in as many people switched votes.  It was a regular season award, so this is some nonsense.  Kon also didn't have the luxury of taking 10 games off to rest up injuries like Flagg did.  If he did, he wouldn't have been nursing his back the last month.  I mean, screw him for being on an actual playoff team that matters.  Flagg took tons of shots a game, he was wildly inefficient.  Kon was a huge reason the Hornets made the play-in and turned the season around after Jan.   I think Flagg will probably be the better player long term, or at least the most impact.  But Kon should have won ROTY.
