This solidifies my belief that Tepper is going to let rhule take this one for the team and get us a high pick for next year.  Vince Lombardi couldnt coach this 2022 team out of a top 5ish draft pick.

The more stuff like this leaks the more I think Tepper is getting it.  He is finally addressing the rebuild as it should have been 2 years ago.   We should have either rolled with Cam or Grier instead of this quick fix poo.

Buy why not go ahead and fire Rhule before he hurts the development of our young players any further. Why let him handle another year of shitty contracts and bad FA signings. I get riding out a shitty year and letting your cap space settle and drafting your next QB the following year (kind of like the Pats did), but there is no reason why Rhule should still have his job.

To shield the new coach from this poo show of a season we are about to endure.  Maybe in fact he sees rhule is key in potentially getting a top 3 pick.  Let him eat the bullet instead of a new coach.  Pretty straight forward if you ask me

What’s gonna shield a new coach from the even worse poo Rhule leaves him in 2023?

Thats the start of the rebuild.  Hopefully we address the line in 2022, let rhule get us a top pick, then let the new coach start afresh with a newly drafted qb.  If Tepper neuters Rhule for the draft then we can make significant headway with building the line and giving the new guy a solid foundation.

It doesn't make sense.

As the giants OC under Coughlin he took the offense from 28th to 6th. The giants then fired Coughlin because McAdoo was getting offers to be a head coach elsewhere and the giants didn’t want to lose him. He was obviously overmatched as a head coach, but as a coordinator he did well. There are a lot of guys who are fine as a coordinator but flame out as a head coach. I think people are focusing too intently on his HC stint, as opposed to what he did as OC. And I’m not sure why some of you are blasting him for Cowboys clock management issues. He’s an offensive consultant on the #1 offense in the NFL. Not saying he’s my guy, but he’s had success as an OC before.

Ok what about Fhule he was a good college coach but is a terrible nfl coach. So he needs to go back to college right?

It builds a buffer for the new coach.  Its simple

It's stupid.

Going this route wastes a year's worth of career for players, staff and others while also risking that Rhule will make moves that worsen the team even further.

But since Tepper is a dumbsh-t on football matters, it wouldn't necessarily surprise me.

Because as we learned from Stafford, a worthwhile coach will not come here.

Why in earth would any coach with multiple options chose Carolina? And why would you chose a coach where Carolina is his ONLY option?

To those points does it really who is the lame duck coach is? Why? Someone unqualified is just the same. And no one qualified will take the one year lame duck. It’s all the same.

You put Rhule on a short leash and try and sell what we have next year to a new coach to include all draft picks and one of the healthiest caps in the league. That’s how you attract talent that has choices.
