What current Panthers starters would be starters on the Chiefs or Bills?

Yeah because the main starter that is the issue is the QB position to move the ball and put up points. We aren't talent deprived the issue is QB and the line which honestly could have given Rhule 9-10 wins this year If it wasn't bad.

The dolphins, Tampa 2x, Buffalo, are the only offenses that "tore" through the defense and that's after the defense was worn down from the offense not doing squat. The NYG game was the only one where all faucets of the game were bad.

IDK Taylor Heineke of all people had his way with this defense. Kirk Cousins too who is a JAG. It's probably the coaching, and not the talent, such as them playing Chinn at SS all year. But this board also tends to overrate players on defense, Brian Burns being the biggest offender.

I think we are in agreement in some aspects but Taylor also gave the Bucs issues last year. Brian is a good player but needs to add 15lbs. The X's and O's and not the Jimmys and Joes is the issue.

Burns is a one trick pony who would be a rotation player on the bills d-line. No one wanted Gilmore besides the Panthers, that's why we got him for what we did. Jackson is a definite no.

No one wanted Gilmore, huh?

We got him because he and his wife wanted to come to home.

CMC would start until he got hurt

DJ Moore would be the #2 on the Bills.  Not sure about KC.  I think he is better all around than their 2 and 3 but they emphasize speed in their scheme.  And he isn’t as fast as they guys.

Moton

Chinn

Horn

Gilmore

Shaq

Reddick/Burns would essentially be starters.  If they weren’t they would be in a rotation with no clear cut starter.

New England rolled Carolina, Atlanta put up 29, Minnesota 34, and Washington marched up and down all day. They were not great.

New England was close all the way till the pick 6

Minnesota was a one score loss

Atl part deux was bad because we had PJ turning the ball over and having to go for it on 4th but still wasn’t a blowout

Sorry, but giving up 30 or more is a defensive failure. Offensive woes don't help, for sure, but it doesn't matter if games were 'blowouts' or not.

Meh i agree it happens I thought you were talking blow outs but look at the box scores….Two of those games were close till the inept offense led to bad position for the defense in the 4th. Point being we do not have an awful defense but it’s full of players we just need 2-3 more pieces for it to be “great” by todays standards.

I don't think the Panthers are devoid of talent.  I think some of the problems we have on Defense were trying to switch to a 3-4 when we really didn't have the people to run it and then moving away from it after we drafted a few players that fit that mode.  On offense, I think it's a jumbled mess.  We really don't have that guy outside of McCaffrey.  There isn't a guy that defenses have to worry about taking away because we don't have a stud at any position.  Moore gets yards, but not TDs.  I'm hoping Marshall can develop into that guy.  While he wasn't outstanding this year, but neither were Moose or Smith their rookie years.

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
