Glad to see Rhule finally hiring guys with actual NFL experience. Don’t care if it’s because he was told to do it by Tepper or if he had an epiphany. Either way works if we obtain actual experienced NFL coaches.

Tepper probably said hire some NFL guys or resign. Kinda was hoping he did the latter, but either way we're better off. At least the rookies get some actual NFL experience they can carry over to the next year regardless of what happens.

Maybe the reporting of him staying hinging on a rockstar hire was distorted truth

maybe Tepper said if you want to stay then find and hire a NFL staff or something.  I doubt Glazier was 100% wrong on him being told something about hires

So Rhule has smarter guys than himself running his teams..If he keeps the job because of this that's some serious privilege

A good leader surrounds himself with smart people, even if they’re smarter than he is. I’m hoping the hiring of experienced is encouraging sign that we’re trending upward.

True.

But it’s also a true an incompetent person can have good people around him.  And the fact an incompetent man leads the group defines what ultimately happens in the end.

I still think Rhule is the problem.  And I have been hard on Fox and Ron at times.   Didn’t think they were great coaches. Incompetent was never a place I went with them.   Even in the dark times they had.

and maybe Rhule will turn into something one day.  It’s clear he has a long way to go and so don’t expect there to be enough years for him to learn on the job in NFL HC attempt #1.

    • That's not totally the case. It is hard to discuss future without a crystal ball, you look at the past the to assess and project, and there is a lot of on field negative from year one. Some people say throw it out. You can’t dismiss things that were on him and not the OL or Reich or Chark or Mingo etc., if you want the real story.  Only Young can tell where that goes and everybody just has to wait for real football. That footwork is not just people picking on him, it is probably a huge barrier to his potential success. All the passing comes from a base and if it off the throws are hard to trust.  OTA optimism is fools gold tbh. We have seen the skins and shirts all stars enough times to know what that is. We will need real football at real football game speed which we won’t get even in preseason.  That said I expect him to somehow make his way to somewhere in QB tiers or rankings to maybe low 20s. Gotta win 6 at least for that.  My opinion is if they can make a playoff run with a 4th tier QB then fine but I’d just as soon go over to the side of those who for years held out for a QB capable of talking to and winning a SB. I am not thinking he is that guy so far but taking this year to find out is necessary.
    • Good lawd, look at the amount of rotation required for a mere 40-yard pass. No wonder he needs a runway for any throw beyond 50 yards.  Can you think of any NFL quarterback today who has a weaker arm than Bryce? For reference, with a similar amount of hip rotation, Stroud slung the ball 69 yards. https://x.com/VatorSports/status/1728845724434186374
    • I think the issue is there isn't any more of these posters still active on this site.  Everyone I see posting now either doesn't like Bryce or wants to see him in a better situation to make a better assessment.  I think everyone agrees he has work to do in order to show us he can become the QB we need him to.  Who knows if he will or if he can, but there are definitely other conversations to be had without being stuck on repeat and every thread turning into the same one.  It sounds like you need to find the Bryce Fan Boys from before the draft and just vent/hash it all out with them somewhere.
