To add to my reply…. I’m not the biggest fan of Thib, but if it’s between him or any QB because the top 3 OT are gone, I wouldn’t mind him or the safety from ND.

Sure, I’d rather go offense but this team isn’t 1 or two drafts away. Grab the top talent on the board, fire Rhule next year, and start an actual re-build next year allowing your new coach and staff pick their QB.

Thats how I think the draft plays out, Thib could be the clear BPA and I already know the topics on page one of the main board will be nothing but bitachin.

If we're not going to get a starting LT, and can't trade down, then I'm totally on board with Hamilton. Pairing him with Chinn would be huge.

I can not support drafting a safety at 6 overall, that is least valued spot on the 22 man field(minus ST). Much rather have 2nd best DE/LT over the best Safety. Tho I will say this- Id prfer him over any QB in this best pool..... Id even say that last year given Mr. Pro bowler jones.

I just feel like Thidobeaux is a bust waiting to happen. I've got no real justification to back that up; just a gut feeling.

I think he has some elite skills, but if you went in a time machine 5 years from now and told me he was a bust, it wouldn’t shock me. The thought of Thib, Burns, Brown, and Reddick really excites me. I do feel Thibs is a good fit here as well. Thibs is on the smaller size so that worries me, but I was worried about Burns for the same reason.

I think he has elite talent with virtually nonexistent skills. He's getting by on sheer raw physical ability. He's going to have to improve technically in a big way at the NFL level. Total boom/bust pick IMO. I'd bet on bust.

Good analogy and spot on. No way I am taking a chance on this guy. We are at pick 6 and I can easily name more than 6 guys I would draft over him, and that doesn't even include the trade down option.

You’re right, that’s what I meant. Elite talent, not skills.

At the Combine, in front of all the coaches & execs and media,  he took the microphone and talked extensively about building his "brand".

He just released some type of cryptocurrency ??         Thibodeaux's cryptocurrency

Was quoted as saying

"there's nothing (a coach) can tell me that I don't already know"

which shows he may not be very coachable or easy to work with.

Has had to defend his love of football numerous times to the media.   Which makes me think "where there's smoke, there's fire . . ."

Thidobeaux just seems like he wants to be the next Kardashian.  So I have to wonder about his focus and commitment to the NFL.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
