The Seahawks subreddit is a mess right now. What a bunch of pansies. Let's laugh at them.

^live feed of Seattle fans right now

Omg you had one losing season waaa waaaa oh you got a Herschel Walker level haul for your aging franchise QB who DELIVERED A SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP TO YOUR CITY omg time to burn down the stadium

Seahawks fans are a bunch of spoiled babies. It sucks that I totally agree with the move to trade Wilson, I wish the people running their franchise were as dumb as David Tepper and Matt Rhule so they could understand true misery.

As a panther fan, I'm not really laughing at anyone for a while.

Psh, I'm laughing at their fan misery straight up. Panthers fans are beginning to know true misery like Lions or Browns fans. The Seahawks had literally ONE bad season out of their last 10 and their fans are flipping their sh*t.

You are really going to make fun of another fan base whining?  L O MF L

they have NOTHING to whine about. 1 losing season in the last 10? They got a kings ransom for their aging franchise QB on a massive salary? booooo freaking hooooo.

Russ has been a baller and they haven't done enough to put the right pieces around him.  Roster management has been poor since the 2nd Super Bowl appearance.  Not a Seahawks fan but I can relate to their frustration with this outcome.

I mean, they do have a Super Bowl win and they're an arrogant bunch, so I can somewhat see getting a chuckle out of their pain.

I would grant though that I'd hate to revisit this board right after Newton was cut loose.

True. They still have it good and have had it good for a long time.

As they should be. This trade signals an uncertain and likely painful rebuild ahead of them. When you have an elite QB you always have a chance so there's hope that a couple key moves or a banger draft class can get you right back in the mix but that train left the building today. Now they have to find another QB just to get back to that place.

The Seahawks are making moves that winning franchises make to continue long term sustained success. The current formula to win in the NFL centers around having a QB on a rookie contract and building up the rest of the roster until that young QB develops. The team reaches their peak when that QB signs the second contract, and the roster devolves from there due to lack of resources. Many teams have followed this formula but kept their aging franchise QB far too long. Atlanta is a prime example.

The fact Seattle got a kings ransom for Wilson shows they are ahead of the curve and are going back to the rookie QB behind a great defense strategy that won them their first Superbowl. All those draft assets are going to pay off.

Long story short their fanbase has no reason to curse their leadership that delivered 9 straight winning seasons. This isn't the Panthers leadership that obviously has no idea what they're doing. Those guys have a Superbowl ring and have proven they know what they're doing, despite recent struggles.

Meanwhile, Denver will struggle to win their division. This isn't Peyton Manning coming to the Broncos in a downtrodden AFC West. The AFC West had 3 playoff-caliber teams last season (Chargers were definitely legit).

Ideally, yes. But you're also saying this right after a team won the SB with a mercenary QB.

Not a good year to get rid of a franchise QB. Rogers and wilson off the market. They have a lot of options to downgrade and there are 2 possible options in the draft, Willis and Howell.

IDK what they plan to do at that position other then get a Teddy and draft their guy to sit this year or next year. This is a team that Wilson has carried and straight dragged into the playoffs until last year.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
