Whole lot of Deshaun Watson chatter happening out there

Has this brain trust done anything logical so far?

Man, this is just mind boggling ridiculous though.  Come on.  Watson is a good player when clean, good not a savior.  Fitty is trading the entire team and future for this guy?  Fug Tepper, Fitty and Rhule would walk out of this meeting

Watson is clearly going to be criminally charged tomorrow.  The Panthers are offering the entire team for him with this is out there?  GTFOH.  Fake news

Obviously that deal wouldn't be on the table if he was charged.

We offered three 1st round picks + other picks + player at the deadline with zero clarity on Watsons situation. If his situation clears up and there other other bidders, why wouldn't we offer more?

Verge…you seriously believe we are actively offering that deal to the Texans with criminal charges being a very high probability?  If no charges ok, but even then you have to admit that price is completely ridiculous

The guy hasn’t played in 2 years and he isn’t a savior by any stretch.  Lets not mention the PR hit which is totally legit.

I'm not in favor of obtaining Watson on the first place. My opinion on it is entirely irrelevant lol of course I think that package is ridiculous.

A deal like that for any player would be nuts.  If anything  close to that happens this franchise is in big trouble.  We do the deal and he tears his knee first practice…guaranteed

I expect us to outbid just about anyone.

Three 1sts, next year's 2nd, two 3rds, Jeremy Chinn/Jaycee Horn, and Derrick Brown/Brian Burns. I could definitely see that package happening.

That still might not be enough. I have said Tepper is all in on this, I'm not exaggerating.

Tepper be

Yeah I’ve read Benjamin Allbright is right about a lot of things. Don’t be shocked!

I’ve been following Albright for a few years now, dude is pretty connected and calls a lot of moves. Called WIlson and Wentz. As a matter of fact, two hours before the trade, he shared betting odds for Denver acquiring Wilson....just like he did for Carolina getting Watson. Now obviously his case comes into play here and even Albright said he could face felony charges. Like I’ve said for a few days now, this is going to be interesting.

So let me see if I've got this straight. Tepper is essentially blowing up the team and starting from scratch to get Watson.

He's willing to give up 4 drafts, yes 4. He's giving up his first pick this draft which is essentially all of it. The 2 following drafts and his first draft of all defense.  Leaving him with all corners and 2 linebackers on defense.  The rest will come from the latter rounds of future drafts I assume.

So you've got Watson, no oline and whoever they don't trade or cut to gut under the cap left for offense.  They will build around him with lower round picks and whatever free agent they can afford after they pay Watson 40M a year.

Did I miss anything?

There is literally no way he isn’t charged tomorrow unless these women are no shows.  Grand Jury is extremely serious.  Any of these women testifying will be taken equally serious.  They could get jail time for lying in this setting
