Seeing all these teams trading for QBs should tell us everything we need to know about what other teams feel about this draft class. It feels like we've got Hurney/Little type rankings on the QBs this year.

the same thing happened last offseason.... the offseason QB carousel is a thing now

Its not a matter of the prospects available in the draft, its what it costs to move up to grab a QB prospect

Yeah I watched the Senior Bowl and it wasn't pretty. The 2022 QBs look like check down guys, and that won't cut it against good teams.

Saints don’t have the collateral to move up, colts don’t have a first, Washington is still rumored to draft someone, Denver took the upgrade when it was presented so I don’t think this a red flag by any means.

Last year it was possible that 4 QBs could go in the first 4 picks. There's no chance of that this year. 2 completely different QB crops. 3 1st round picks was the price tag to move up. This year it's going to be nowhere near that and teams are still looking for other options. The demand isn't as high for this class.

its still going to take at least a first and a second early round pick to follow. Teams dont want to give up that capital when they can land established QBs for far less. Thats just how it goes.

    • Sure we'll be involved in talks but I can't see any scenario where we trade LaMelo, Kon or Brandon. And I can't see any scenario where we get another superstar without including 1 of those guys. Hence my use of the word "realistically" in that post.
    • Oh yeah the switching up the play calling is often the first punt. It usually isn’t a voluntary concession.    Except I think this is possibly more an honest self scout than pressure from the owner type of a thing. Is this a defensive move reeking of fear like it normally is, trying to placate an unhappy owner/fan base or a sincere attempt to improve the results? I am leaning sincere.   I say that because I get zero sense from Tepper that he is even one foot off the wagon. He seems to be very much on board, going by that McAfee interview. The average fans are the same. All bought in after making the playoffs.
    • Wow, I'm shocked. I wonder if they reviewed all the games and came to the conclusion of the play calls and the quarterback did not mix that well. Granted, I think I know which side carries the brunt of that blame, but it's just another step in the "Is Bryce our guy?" experience I suppose.  I do wonder how much this will free up Dave though as well and help Idzik grow and potentially get interview opportunities.
