IF we could secure a long term LT whether that is BC making the step or signing Armstead I would be very interested in either Willis or Pickett at 6. Lots to like with both of these young men.

I’m surprised Miami hasn’t signed Armstead yet I bet he goes back to Saints

For the record Willis isn't even CLOSE to Vick in terms of athletic ability and rushing

Don't get me wrong Willis is very mobile and can break tackles

but to this day looking at some old vick highlights WOW that guy was an alien

He had Panthers number that’s for sure

71-0

That’s the score of our 2 meetings against Vick in ‘02.

And it was all him too.

I think Boomers just can’t handle QBs that can run. It’s non traditional and that irks them….

Not really...

Running quarterbacks have been around way longer than people think. Fran Tarkenton is the earliest one I can remember watching, but there was also Roger Staubach, John Elway and others.

Having watched those guys, I always get a chuckle when people act like mobile quarterbacks are some new trend.

Those legs are massive for a QB.  Dear lord

my feeling is if they draft this kid, Cam will be brought back to start and then give way.  They know each other

he has a lot of physical attributes.  He has a lot of intangibles

why did he leave Auburn ?

mcAdo supposedly knows QBs.  I don’t want Rhule anywhere near this decision

There’s a lot of talk that no one was going to supplant Nix regardless of how good they were.

Nix is a legacy child, his dad was the starting QB at Auburn and his family has a lot of influence in that community.

On the other hand, Malzahn and Freeze are very good friends, it’s thought that he was steered to Liberty because of the connection.

Willis isnt running the 40 because as good of a rusher he is, he isn't straight line fast

and a meh 40 time would really cool his draft hype.

Did Lamar jackson run a 40? Or kyler Murray? Fact is running a 40 as a qb doesn't benefit you at all. All it does is fuel the... he could be a wr or hb hype.

Having the offense focused around them absolutely is. Plenty of rushing qbs were written off before this new wave. Or forced to play HB or wr. All the way up to say Marcus vick(Vicks brother headcase I know) but if he came out in this class I dout people would say he can't play qb.

    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
