Ok, so basically they wish they had day 2 picks. That's what I got from this. Question is if they can't trade back from 6, can they really just sit around for like 36 hours without a pick? We don't have any players to trade away, teams are gonna want 2023 picks and one of our 5ths

I think they will basically give the #6 away if it comes to it.

They want to trade down.  It's pretty clear.  And I think the 2 QBs we would consider at 6 is just said so they can draft one later in a trade down and make the bold claim he was totally one of the guys they felt comfortable drafting at #6.  There are not 2 QBs who any sane team should feel cool with drafting at 6.  That's just lighting BPA on fire and being desperate if it were true.

I think after that we’re either trading back or taking Willis at 6 and I can’t wait to watch every one who hates it cry on here lol. MalikWillisSzn baby!

I kind of read the same but I wonder if he wants to gamble a lil 1st.  I could also see someone Luke the Eagles trying to package both 1st and Minshew to entice Fitt. I'm guessing a lt or Willis if staying at 6. I also think Robby gets trades during the draft.

if you can't put your HC out there because of his job as football coach......

he shouldn't be your football coach.  It's pretty simple.

Tepper I guess is what he is.  He owns it and he can't fire himself.

Of course, but this is the situation we find ourselves in. No amount of bitching is going to change that.

This is Teppers show and he is driving the bus. His guy is calling the shots and shouldn't be. Neither are good at what they are currently doing but love to spout off about how things are going 1000% as planned.

Neither should be running their mouth until they show us they actually know what they are doing.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
