2020 Deshaun Watson

Brandin Cooks in '20 - an excellent, former first round WR - 81 catches, 1,150 YD , 6 TD

Will Fuller in '20 - an excellent, former first round WR - 53 catches, 879 yards, 8 TD

Laremy Tunsil in '20 - an excellent, former first round OT - started 14 games

You're going to give me Watson in '20 as an example of a QB playing great without many things aligning lmao a lot went right for Watson to have those numbers; like having a first round LT and two first round WR playing well.

2015 Stafford

Lmao .. having the first ballot HoF WR wasn't anything aligning for Stafford to play well

.. Burrow, man, .. Joe Mixon is arguably best RB in league, Jonah Williams, Chase, Higgins, Uzomah - yes, nothing aligning for Burrow

You fuging kill me

You’re pointing out single players. Watson, Stafford and Butrow had an oline overall that was ranked lower than cam ever had his entire career. Cam also had a 1000 years receiver (941 actually), 1000 yard TE and almost 1000 yard HB in 2016, so? He looked like poo.

Point is, we need a solid QB than cane overcome some issues with the team no matter what it is because it’s most likely not going to be perfect. Pointing out all these things that need to align for a qb to succeed isn’t true and isn’t realistic, and it’s not going to work. At one point in cam’s career he could be that guy. He is very far from it today.

Tom Brady has made a career based on everything around him being perfect. I can simply prove this.

When Brady gets pressured he wilts; this is indisputable.

He has 7 rings though .. therefore you can safely put two and two together and infer Brady is virtually never under duress.

Again, QB's who win Super Bowl's are, by and large, in perfect situations.

Tyler Henikie looked elite??

Why did the Commanders trade a load for Wentz?? When they had a elite QB on the roster..

Lmao

The point wasn't that he was elite it was that we were so bad and our QB situation as a whole was so bad even he looked like a franchise QB against us in comparison. I didn't think it was that tough to comprehend but I'm here to help 😉

    • A 2 year deal for Coker would be terribly short sighted as I pointed out in another thread the other day. T-Mac will be eligible for an extension after 2 more seasons, and while there is still 2 years to go, he's very much looked like the type of player you extend right away, knowing waiting will only cost more money and take longer before the contract becomes a bargain with rising contracts every year. So if we sign Coker to a 2 year extension, that means we either let Coker walk after those 2 years or we don't extend T-Mac when we should, as I can't see signing both in the same off season much of an option, it was terrible for the Bengals this year. I like doing a 1 year deal for Coker to set his market value with a full season as the #2, and then sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal after that, which also separates Coker and T-Mac's contract years to help keep both around instead of having to choose at some point, like the Bengals should have done. I also think coming to an agreement on a multi year deal right now could be tough, the team will want to pay the rate of his actual production so far and his agent will want to be paid on his potential from his few breakout games, everyone might just be too far apart for a multi year deal.
    • I would love Sonny Styles!.   I don’t think he slips that far.   Get the best OT available at 19.  There is a good chance icky will miss next year and then come back and may switch to guard.
    • Then they will have to depend on rookie tackles for awhile. They've got about 1 more good season in Moton and who knows if Ikey will ever return full strength. Better start drafting at 1 on day 2 at least. I personally would prefer a 1st round LT myself but I will take what I can get.
