Well I am with you 100% but the logic in trading for Westbrook isn't because hes good. Its because he has a big contract that you can let run out and give yourself a bunch of cap space afterwards to sign someone on a max deal.

Gotcha I have no idea on money!! Saw other posts about getting rid of Hayward for him which I didn’t think about!! He’s been a disappointment.. could work.. I just know we aren’t lucky with ex big names!! I like Westbrook’s just his play suxs

I’m probably the only one on here that would want this.  But even though we have the glaring need at the 5.  I’d love to package and move up for Shaeron Sharpe.  Heard a few people talking about him yesterday who have seen him extensively including at practices at Kentucky.  They mentioned how he is young reclassifying.

but they said if he didn’t and went the normal route.  He’d be the #1 pick next year.

The Kentucky fans hate him for punking them but he could be the best out of this draft. I’d be ok with the Hornets taking a gamble on him if they can trade up.

I loved vintage Westbrook but I absolutely would not want him on this team now either. But his deal is up at the end of the year and would allow us to have a ton of cap space. Still, I personally want us to just remain patient and keep both picks tonight. I get the logic behind Westbrook but I don't want to see us do it. It will essentially mean we can't upgrade our roster until next offseason which seems counter productive right now to me.

    • Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry.  Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team.  Absolutely phenomenal performance.  If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.
    • I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie.  Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.
    • Every win comes from a non-sustainable source.  As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards.  We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are.  Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together.  The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again.  That was not even an average QB performance.  We are winning in spite of him.
