Rhule said he wasn't playing his starters and that he wouldn't make an annoucnement on QB until after the Patriots game.

So I assume that means you don't see Baker or Sam.

This is the dunbassery we have grown to hate.

I guess it kind of feels like they should already know? I’m just a fan but it feels off.

It is a bit unusual for us to have this issue but it's better than the alternative.

Baker really did have to prove himself here, that I agree with.  He has struggled a bit so it was wise to see it through even though we knew what the outcome would be.

Even though I am not a fan of Rhule he is doing the right thing with Baker. He needed an attitude adjustment if he was going to be  here and he's getting it. Hopefully it pays off for us.

Now what to do with PJ and Sam is another story.  I'm curious to see how Rhule handles that.

Not sure if Walker is PS eligible but if he is I think he’ll be on it for certain.

'm personally hoping that PJ Walker has a good game and puts up solid numbers and protects the football.you know he's going to be cut so yeah why not root for him to have a big game and garner the attention of a team in need for depth at Qb

he is eligible under the new rules.

Which means we will still have 4 QBs at practice. Once the season starts, almost all the reps go to the starter, and the rest to the backup. I fear this means Corral's lack of reps will continue throughout the regular season and he will not get much development this year.

[Edit to add : this is assuming we don't cut or trade one of the QBs]

I'm not as anti-PJ as some here.  That said, he makes zero sense to be on our roster though given what and where we are.  We certainly shouldn't be dedicating so much work for him just to be auditioning for other teams.

It makes sense if he's the best backup option we have on the team at the moment.  Seems there's not much trust in Sam to be the guy to be a backup much less starter.

It also appears that McAdoo is the one driving the audition experiment with PJ. All the reps for PJ in these games are starting to make sense if that is truly what they are up to.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
