Do we have a starting QB announced yet?

Wait what? We’re resting game 2 and playing game 3? Nothing we do with regime ever makes sense. They seem so reactionary to everything.

Rhule said he rested the starters last game due to the back to back scrimmages against the Pats and noted that several players were banged up and needed recovery time. Makes perfect sense to me

Aren’t they practicing with Buffalo this week? Or did I make that up in my head?

That does in fact make sense. Will rescind my reaction

I will not however rescind my question at hand.

Who is our QB? If Sam and Baker are in fact playing next week, it appears the NE week being the definite marker was farce or they can’t make up their minds.

Yikes 😳

I mean, it HAS to be Baker. If it isn’t and I was Baker I would ask for an immediate release. And knowing his style, could see that happening. And then I can see most casual fans checking out before even game 1.

I can't believe we didn't pick a QB before 2 joint practices with the Pats. We're going to go into the season with the QB and O-line still working out the kinks because we wasted the last 2 weeks with fake competitions. I bet he's still gonna have Jordan out there next week alternating with BC and Corbett

It’s Mayfield and it’ll likely be announced tomorrow.

Schedule wise and maybe it would be procedural, they formally announce before practice begins, as it’s the start of the practice week with a presser and release. I’d like to hope that happens for all open competitions spot.

This can’t linger into the final preseason week/prep for the real game 1

I think even Fitterer would bail at that point. He already seemed irritated about all this during his interview during the Pats game.

You know I didn’t catch any irritation from fitts, and last night at a party I was talking to about 5-6 panthers fans and they didn’t catch any irritation from fitts either. I have the game on VOD. Do you know at what point fitts was pissed? I want to go back and watch this.

Pretty sure fitts confirmed that we were moving forward with BC at guard. I couldn’t be misremembering though.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
