Think Snow will defend his run D after today?

I mean did literally anyone think Cleveland wouldn’t run all over us?

This would've been the 2nd most rushing yards and the 2nd highest yards per carry that we gave up last year when we had a D built to rush the passer with stopping the run a complete afterthought. We focused on building a defensive roster that could better stop the run and this was the result.

It’s also D playcalling, we continued those cute 5/6 DB formations, Brown was doing nothing and Iannidis looked awful. Like, we should’ve at least tried to employ a 4 man front of our best defenders with 3 LBs at minimum w Chinn in the box. The defense made no sense today.

Seems like I heard there was supposed to be an emphasis on creating turnovers.   Don't remember seeing any of those.  I do think Snow is over his head here.  But I will give the D credit...despite being on the field most of the game...they were playing well enough to win in the 2nd half...just could not overcome the refs.

Not their fault Snow rushed 4 and played zone when it was obvious blitzing worked when they tried it

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
