Refs screwed us

I agree with most of that.  But it still doesn't support your prediction of a predictable O scheme hampering our offense.

Many of the issues were preparedness.  The same thing is being said of Rodgers and Burrow right now.  Rodgers because he doesn't play preseason, and Burrow because of his surgery.  Rhule's excuse is we didn't get Baker until July.

it wasn't just a predictable O.  It was everything I listed added together.  That's how the shitshow goes.

but yeah, McAdoo isn't a good OC.  He runs predictable poo.  He isn't imaginative.   He we got exactly what the NFL has said for years they weren't interested in.

Rhule could of had Baker more prepared.  Rhule opted to have joke competitions.  All this was talked about going into the season.   And not just Baker, he should of had Baker getting first string reps out of Wofford, the starting OL set, and repping everyone properly.  Because none of it was a mystery.

None of that is a shred of evidence that our O was predictable on Sunday.  It's just the same ol' rehash of huddle bitching, which is most of your posts.  And I'm not arguing against any of it.

In fact pointing out the other reasons the O sucks only supports the supposition that our problems weren't because Browns could predict what our O was going to do.

McAdoo is predictable.   The NFL has spoken on that.  And there is nothing that speaks otherwise to date.  There is no burden on me to prove it.  You would have to prove McAdoo isn't a predictable and bad playcaller.

If Matt Rhule would quit sniffing his ass then that wouldn’t have even mattered.

And let’s be real… York’s kick was good from 70, backing them up 10 yards wasn’t going to make a difference other than the fact that the Browns would have set another record on us.

The NFL is always a game of inches. Very rarely are teams blown out. So they often come down to this issues of calls, no calls, and plays being made. To have two terrible reffing issues on the last drive of the game is inexcusable.

If people want to blame Baker, fine. But understand receivers were not open and all of the State fan boys favorite pick was getting beat like a damn drum every, single, play. Hard to get the ball out when the 6th overall pick is a turnstile and your drama queen WR can't get open except for one play.

So yeah, refs screwed the Panthers. This is not on Rhule, it's not on Baker l, it's not on Snow. Rules are there to be enforced and one wasn't while the other was phantom. Both on the last drive. But impacted the game.

I am certain if that exact same situation occurred to 32 other teams.  The other 31 coaches don't all act the same as Rhule did in that moment.

They aren't going to let the game go on just as Rhule did.  That play was the game.  Rhule IMO should of done more.  That's his job. No fight in him.  None in his team. Get the refs over there.  Plead the case.  Go over the play.  Demanded answers.   There could of been more discussion before the ball was ever snapped again.  NFL refs have made clusterfugs out of plays and eventually gotten the correct call in the end.

and let's not forget the game ended with Matt Rhule with a timeout in his pocket.

It's called mental illness. They've been going back and forth with CRA like a lunatic since last year and they are still obsessed with Joe Brady for some reason. Hope they get some help.

they are obsessed with Matt Rhule.  Joe Brady to them is really a Rhule thing.  They wanted for Joe Brady to take ALL the blame for the horrible O, Sam Darnold, roster moves, draft picks, inflation, and monkeypox.    Just a tool to deflect from Rhule.  I mean, Brady wasn't good.  But Brady was a symptom of the problem in reality.  And pointing that out causes their brains to go insane.

Just like the O got worse when Brady left last year.   Just like it is horrific this year.   McAdoo sucks too.  But like Joe Brady.  McAdoo is a symptom of the problem.  He is this years Joe Brady.

    • Bryce among the 7 players Mark Ross of NFL.com guarantees will get better this season. Today, I am identifying seven players who I guarantee will improve on their 2024 output in the 2025 season. Young took tremendous strides in 2024 after returning to the starting lineup in Week 8 following his benching. He looked far more comfortable in his return and produced with consistency, as he threw for 2,104 yards with 15 TDs and six INTs in the final 10 contests. Most important perhaps is Young's confidence grew immensely down the stretch, leading Carolina to either a game-tying or game-winning drive in six of those games. Now he enters his second season in Dave Canales' system with his best supporting cast to date. The Panthers drafted wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan eighth overall to pair with Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette, who I also believe is poised for a breakout campaign this fall. The 18th-ranked rushing attack from a year ago added Rico Dowdle to complement Chuba Hubbard, giving the team a pair of 1,000-yard rushers. The Panthers have taken the necessary steps to ensure Young's third season will be the best of his career, and now it's up to him to not only continue to grow as a player but prove why he was worthy of being taken No. 1 overall in 2023. I believe that's what he will do. https://www.nfl.com/news/which-nfl-players-will-improve-in-2025-c-j-stroud-deebo-samuel-among-guaranteed-risers
    • While it's fair to question how impactful a player's relationship with a coach is (especially if someone has questions regarding said coach), it's important to also evaluate the difference between the players here. Jordan Fuller was pick #199 in the 6th round while Justin Simmons was #98 in the 3rd round. Jordan Fuller might have gotten a Super Bowl ring while he was with the Rams, but he got it while on the IR. Justin Simmons, on the other hand, is a x2 Pro-Bowler (2020, 2023), x4 second-team All-Pro (2019, 2021 - 2023), and was the NFL co-leader in INTs (2022). Simmons has also fallen off in the last couple of seasons though, grade-wise. He very well might not be that same player, which could be why the Falcons have elected to replace him with Fuller. As far as getting the best out of what he has, asking him to produce with a starting DL of A'Shawn Robinson (63.56% of the defense's snaps), LaBryan Ray (51.48%), and Shy Tuttle (50.08%) isn't reasonable. Wonnum only played in 8 games, but had the second most % of snaps (37.27%) at EDGE behind Clowney (53.53%). The second-string DL based on snap % was... and don't read this if you just ate... Charles Harris (34.48%), DeShawn Williams (27.67%), and Nick Thurman (19.7%). The second-string EDGEs based on snap count would be DJ Johnson (32.27%) and Cam Gill (18.14%). With the investments made in the run defense this season though, especially on the defensive line, it's more than fair to demand a complete turn around from last season.
