Seriously, why sign Bozeman at all if they plan to make him ride the bench.  Could have used that money elsewhere and develop a rookie for backup center.

Media even has him doing all these charity events like he's the man. Elf probably just sitting around his apartment playing video games

The Athletic ranked Bozeman No. 28 overall among pending free agents and No. 2 among centers behind Brian Allen of the Los Angeles Rams. ESPN ranked Bozeman No. 31 overall and No. 2 among centers behind Ryan Jensen of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Pro Football Focus ranked Bozeman 11th among NFL centers and No. 5 among centers in pass blocking. ESPN listed Bozeman No. 2 among centers in pass block win rate, which measures whether a lineman can sustain his block for 2.5 seconds or longer.

The way I understand it is… Bozeman had an injury and hasn’t been 100%. Pat elf, in Rhules mind, hasn’t been playing terribly enough for him to rush Bozeman before he is 100%. Not sure if Rhule is putting the fumbled snaps mainly on Baker, or the little time they’ve spent building chemistry (Rhules own fault). Regardless, idk if there has been much info put out on Bozeman and a lingering injury but thats how i see it and I expect Bozeman to be ready and starting week 3. If not then i rambled off for no reason in somewhat support for Rhule but not really because i have loudly shown hate for Rhule and i dislike Pat Elf wearing Carolina blue for sure.

WTF does Elflien have on Rhule?!?

Looking at how the OL situation was handled last year - he probably wouldn't have got to play & his career likely would've been ruined. Shout out to trading down 3 times in R2. Also, shout out to not taking a shot on 226 at 222. Had 3 of them, you take chances like that there. I don't think anybody over there - scouts included - know how to properly evaluate OL talent.

It is fuging mind boggling.  He should be fired for this decision alone.  As I said elsewhere before. The dude started for YEARS on one of the best OLs in football, then comes here and can't take the job from a guy we signed last year that couldn't even win a job to start then?  But all of a sudden, now Elf is better than Boze?  It's fuging bullshit man.  No way those fumbled snaps happen with Boze.  They just don't.

And then we sign Boze and bench him for WHAT???  What's the end game there?  And it's a 1 year fuging deal.  Inevitably, when Rhule finally puts Boze in, because Elf is costing us games, like he did last game with the botched snap in the 4th, and stalling the offense the same way in the 1st, what would make Boze want to stay here after dealing with this poo?  I wouldn't.

And again, it's the same exact bullshit Rhule always does.  "Lemme show them how much smarter I am than them!"  He starts Elf for way too long, costing us multiple games, then finally concedes to the media, "Yup, I really should've given a Boze a shot earlier, but injuries blah blah blah," then Boze gets in with the line already having issues, then it take weeks to develop comfort and chemistry, and by then we're 3 and fuging 10, IF THAT.  This is absolute fuging insanity.  The fact Tepper is just sitting back watching this poo go on is infuriating.  The dude is Ten and Twentyfugingfour!?!?!?  What the fug are we waiting on???????!?!??!?!?

Man I'm telling you, for all the foul poo all the other owners have done and said, including sexual assault, racism, sexism, etc., I really wish they would've left JR the fug alone, because Tepper is the worst fuging thing to ever happen to this franchise's day to day operations and functionality, and had it not been for Rae Carruth, he would be the worst fuging thing ever, period.  fuging idiot.

...thing that worries me about Mayfield is he misses route developments .... OBJ bitched about this...but hes a bitch.... Does he not see these open receivers because the line is allowing too much pressure on him...he has all the tools physically but his height is a detriment. maybe a deeper drop could alleviate that... but thats on McAdouche to figure out...

More than one person has stated that Elflein isn't as bad as the fans think he is. And as long as he's playing center, that's probably true.

The problem is that he also isn't as good as Matt Rhule seems to think he is.

All of the footage I watched from the All-22 Elfein had a very good game outside of his botched snaps. TBD if it was him or Baker. I couldnt find a play where Elf struggled on Sunday.

I've had a busier week than I was expecting so I haven't reviewed All 22 yet.

Still hoping to but my sister in law has been having some health issues and she needs Lady Cowboy Fan and me to help take her to doctors and stuff.

Also got grandson's soccer practice coming up. Believe it or not, I'm trying to help coach him.

(what I know about soccer wouldn't fill a Post-It note) 😬

    • Sometimes you get very valuable information from fantasy football sites. I found an analysis that you may want to read from The Fantasy Footballers. Perhaps you'll gain an insight as to why we moved up and got him. As always, here are a few snippets: "As expected, he dominated in the 2023 season. He averaged an impressive 2.03 Scrimmage Yards per Team Play, which ranks in the 86th percentile among all junior seasons since 2013." "Naturally, after initially playing behind two NFL-caliber running backs, Brooks’ career numbers do not jump off the page. However, his 2023 campaign gave us a glimpse of just how massive his upside could be at the next level. In fact, Brooks is one of only TWO running backs in this class to exceed 2.00 Scrimmage Yards per Team Play within their first three seasons in college."  "If you watch Jonathon Brooks’ film, you will find multiple plays in which he created yardage with his quick feet and lateral agility. He is elusive in open spaces and has an impressive ability to stack multiple cuts to avoid contact. Combined with his impressive burst and acceleration, Brooks can be a matchup nightmare in the second and third levels of the defense." "While Brooks is not the most physical running back, he does have a knack for absorbing contact and bouncing off defenders. You see this time and time again in his film." "He showcased a willingness to initiate contact with the pass rusher, the strength to maintain blocks, and the quickness to adjust to the defender’s moves. In addition, per PFF, Brooks was a top-three running back in the 2024 class in pass-blocking grade last season. He was also one of only two running backs in the class to average a 0% pass block pressure rate, highlighting just how effective he was as a blocker." "In short, Brooks has tremendous upside as a prospect. Even with his ACL injury, I would still be comfortable drafting him in the early second round of rookie drafts. In fact, I would not be shocked if he finished his career as the most productive running back in this class. However, we just need to temper our expectations for his rookie year as he slowly ramps up to full health." Marvin Elequin provides more here (including video clips): https://www.thefantasyfootballers.com/dynasty/2024-rookie-profile-rb-jonathon-brooks-fantasy-football/   Basically, Brooks has the potential to be a beast, and was well worth the 46th pick (and most mocks had him going mid second round anyway). He's not JAG. Someone had to make the move and take him, and we were the ones to do it. He's elusive, has good speed and acceleration, exceptional contact balance, and is an outstanding blocker. Just like any nice RB transitioning to the league, he will need to get used to taking what the defense gives him, while also showing discriminating patience, but he has demonstrated some ability on that front in college. Brooks' only real knock is the ACL. But ACLs aren't career ending anymore, or even skill ending as evidenced by Dalvin Cook, Todd Gurley and others. We'll just need to temper our expectations during his rookie campaign while he gets back to form. Once he does, we'll finally have the talented three-down back that has eluded us since Stew retired.

Took the Rams trade but stayed put at 52 and at the top of the 3rd.
