I was on the tank bandwagon, but after looking more further, I say we just roll with Corral and draft BPA.

I have to admit, I was told this QB class was amazing, but truth be told I don’t see a clear Andrew Luck or Cam Newton. Bryce Young, smaller than Baker, pass. Will Levis, high upside but very questionable in clutch or high pressure moments.

CJ Stroud, his numbers look great but so did Justin Fields and Fields has looked awful. I have to be honest, I look at Corral and I look at this QB class, and the more I look the more I say we just roll with Corral next season and just draft BPA.

He couldn't even make it into the season healthy and that was one of his concerns coming out.

I hope he gets a shot but if we have a chance to draft a solid prospect we should still do that. Swing until you get hit. Rams got 1 year and a SB out of Stafford and the Broncos didn't even get 1 good year out of Wilson. Just draft a QB and if you miss then try again.

I went back and watched the tape on Fitterer and Rhule talking about drafting Corral.

If you listen back you'll hear that they never intended for him to start this season.

They called him a "developmental" pick. That's what they're doing. He strengthening, he's bulking up and he'll have the same skills that made him a top recruit his whole career.

Cease and settle.

Get ready. The organization was sold on Corral as the best QB of that draft, he was allegedly #1 on their QB board.

He's going to get his shot. Like it or not. It would be stupid for them NOT to give him his shot after spending draft capital to get him.

Relax. He's a good/great QB that brought Ole Miss back from the dead. This is the kid.

Anyone who thinks we're not going to be scouting the absolute hell out of the top QBs in this draft with every intention of taking one is absolutely deluded. Corral looked awful and he got hurt. No one expected him to look that awful but a lot of folks expected him to have durability issues in the NFL. We basically got a glimpse of the worst of both worlds. It's honestly probably more likely that Corral isn't on the roster next year than him being the pegged starter going into camp. He better hope Fitts doesn't get fired because if he does all bets are off. I wouldn't give him better than 50/50 odds of being on the opening day roster in that scenario.

3 minutes ago, Growl said:

they aren’t going to pass on a star QB prospect because they have some skinny 3rd rounder hanging around

corrals chance of being the panthers QB cratered to near-nil the exact moment the mayfield trade processed

The timing of that trade said a LOT IMO. The rumors cranked up hot and heavy following rookie mini-camp. I think the staff saw with their own eyes this guy was NOT playing as a rookie so unless they wanted to rely on Darnold and PJ they better do something. Anything.
