There have been open throws that Baker just plain missed.

A change in QB could make a difference.  Lets see if PJ can get through a game without an int.

I mean there have been those throws.

but the bigger issue IMO overall is the fact he can’t use CMC even close to properly.  Which is how you help QBs have success.

yeah, Baker has blown some easy throws.   But Baker overall has been in a painfully bad designed O.   Baker hitting those throws he missed doesn’t change the fact McAdoo isn’t doing folks any favors.   And he could.

Do you really think Rhule rode with Baker by choice? I mean PJ is one of his favorites and yet he didn't let him start or pull Mayfield. That tells you all you need to know.

The actual mistake was hiring Matt Rhule.   Matt Rhule again remains the actual topic.

Would it be smarter to give Nixon 2 weeks to prep for a bad Atl team or just give him 1?  That's the discussion.

My guessing of the actions of a bad football coach in Matt Rhule isn't great.  Only thing worse is your prediction of how this season, Matt Rhule, Ben McAdoo, etc. would play out.

"Shock the world" comes to mind.  And if you recall both he and panthers55 were chastising posters for not thinking the same thing

Scot, actually I thought this article may have been less informative than the other one, but more insightful.

Jonathan Jones wrote a good one this morning too.

It's also not a deep dive but it does have some insight into how people around the league look at David Tepper.

It ain't good.

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
