I can see dummy at his computer typing this up, I don't know how he was even successful in college with this crap. I know Ron's time ran its course but watching those all or nothing episodes made me realize why the players respected him. I can't imagine someone reading that crap and doing anything other than rolling their eyes.

I remember Seifert had a brief press conference when he was fired, can't remember if Capers or Fox did.

From what I remember, Seifert didn't have a "press conference" per se.

What happened was that he went and met with the players and talked to them about what they were going to be working on for next year despite having already been informed that he'd been fired. Shortly thereafter, they were told what had happened.

Players found it kind of surreal.

I'm not even sure he went to that much effort.

My guess would be he already had the document from his Baylor days, so all he had to do was go in and change it to say Carolina instead of Baylor, Panthers instead of Bears.

Who knows? It previously might have been entitled "The Way of the Bear".

Hell, at one point it may have been "The Way of the Owl" 😕

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
