This is QB drafted in the top 3 of the draft in past decade.

For information, Patrick Mahomes at 10 in 2017, Josh Allen at 7 next year, Justin Herbert at 6 in 2020.

So we can draft our franchise QB with 5-6 wins and a pick between 5-10. I think Will Levis it's possible with a mid-top 10 pick.

Well that's the thing; people are trying to act like a top pick is s guarantee. It's not. It's simply not. Picking the wrong guy is just a part of the process. Hitting on that true franchise guy is really part research---they're all researched extensively---and part luck. That's why you have to keep on throwing darts until you hit.

Yup. Only the Mannings were SB champs as result of tanking.  Every other SB champion in the last 20 years did NOT tank for a QB.

That's an interesting observation.  And if you are going to use that logic, I would say that only the Colts had the #1 pick to take Peyton.  The Giants had to trade for Eli.  And what they gave up was similar to what the Chiefs had to give up to move up and take Patrick Mahomes.

You have to draft the right QB and develop him in a system that highlights his strengths. Then build a solid roster around him with a good HC. The good news is I think we have a nice foundation for a young QB. We have a solid young OL, established WR in Moore, young weapons with potential in Shi, TMJ, and Tremble plus a decent defense with a young solid core in Horn, Chinn, Burns, and Brown.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
