Honestly at pick 12, I would be willing to trade that straight up for Mac Jones.. Bryce Young, Stroud and Levis will all be long gone, we really don’t have any glaring needs anywhere else on the roster like we did at O line last year.

If it’s a choice between Hendon Hooker or Mac Jones, I’m trading that pick for Mac Jones.

Think about what you are saying.  You are going to give up a first rounder pick for a player that is 2 years removed from being drafted?  That should tell you Bellicheat is trying to unload him so he doesn't have to face his mistake.  Rhule maybe not this group.

No more retreads. Goddamit   Just draft and keep drafting until you hit.

Hmm, tough one.

Jones was drafted with pick #15.  My immediate thought was that he was over-drafted, but NE wanted him, he can be successful in the right offense, they had pick #15, and they thought there was a good chance he would not be available when they picked again at pick #38.  Fair enough.

In the two years that followed, he has shown us exactly what we thought he was when he was drafted.  That is not a slam, it is just an evaluation.  He is a pretty safe young QB, relatively high floor but relative low ceiling.

How has a guy who was drafted at #15 suddenly worth pick #12 two years later, when he has not exactly lit it up in an offense he should be able to produce in?  He isn't a prime piece of real estate whose value goes up simply because he was there.

If Belichick called and wanted to trade him for our pick #12, after I got done laughing I would probably ask who this really was that I was talking to.  I don't really want him at all, but if he wants to unload him for pick #12 in the third round, maybe he finds a taker (not me, but somebody).

If Bill can’t turn him into a NFL QB, I don’t have much faith that we can.
