If we could win games he would. As long as we’re irrelevant, agreed.

Even if we win games we will never be as much as a darling as SF. Or did you forget when we were in the playoffs and they were allowed to curb stomp our players for 4 quarters.

Still don't understand why we stopped using him like we did his rookie year.

I do get it bc they needed him in the secondary his second year, but we all see intuitively and with our eyes that he's a better player going forward, attacking using his athleticism, than he is in coverage. His versatility is still a plus bc he can play coverage and not loot terrible but that's not his best role. He's basically the same thing draft folks wanted in Isaiah simmons. And that's CRAZY bc this team has Derrick Brown AND CJ Henderson on the roster, all of whom were talked about as the 7th overall pick that year.

I'm cool with him staying at safety bc he's a young smart player but man, the thought of him at LB is intoxicating.

I could see Brian Burns playing OLB too with Chinn on the other side in a 3-4.

Foreman has played really well the last two weeks and should have been on the field a lot sooner.  Our offensive line is no longer a liability (can't believe I just typed that), and being able to run like we were today will open up the passing game.

Remember Burns was drafted at a time when we were planning to switch to a 3-4 base...

...then we never did 😕

Dude, you keep up with that stuff way better than probably 95% of us.  If that was the case, then it makes Snow's gimmicky defensive schemes seem so much worse.  For Burns to have had any success in that (along with Chinn and others) is a testament to his talent.

Let's hope whoever is DC next year looks at our personnel and goes with the best scheme.  We can't expect Wilks to piecemill together all these disjointed parts.

Mccaffrey is one of the best “when healthy” let’s see how long this streak goes. We know how injury prone he is. Wish him the best though.

He's got a legit shot at 2000 yds of offense this season. He's already over 900yds

Of course I mentioned that he had 4000 yds in 2 years for us but all his detractors said that was a long time ago and he's not that guy anymore.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
