Should they pick the best DE in the draft to pair with Burns? See what QB falls to the 2nd or trade up to get one of the top two before they are snatched up.

They need help at the DE spot and pass rush since Riddick left.

What would you choose to do?

Idk I still think you go QB no matter what. Either that or you package the number 3 pick (or whatever pick we have) for a big time QB trade. We have been in QB hell since Cam left, and will never compete until we find our guy. We will be wasting years of our core unless we pull the trigger and keep trying until we find a solution.

If we think that a QB is all that and a bag of chips, trade up. I haven't seen that guy in the upcoming draft yet, so I think they would need to stay where they're at and draft the BPA (and if that happens to be a QB, then great). If not, then so be it.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in taking swings, but only if the swing is worth taking. You can't just be whiffing in the first round year after year taking wild swings out of desperation; the guy has to show that franchise-level play. Otherwise we can get a vet, possibly draft a QB on day two, and look to develop Corral as well. Impatience is arguably a big part of the reason why we are here.

Fields fell, and we skipped over him, but he did fall, and with proper support and development he could turn out as the best of that draft.

We have a good backup that the huddle falls in love with. Matt Moore Taylor Heinicke Kyle Allen etc

We have Matt Corral who looks better on his college tape than every QB in this draft.

I like none of these QBs.

Draft BPA and let Matt do his thing.

Corral is mid, was terrible in preseason and lol if you think his 'college tape' looks better than a Heisman winner

God in preseason he looked like a small town high school QB if memory serves.

He was garbage, his injury kept the myth that he's a good QB alive on the huddle though. It wasn't even rookie struggles, he looked like he belonged in the arena league or something.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
