How do you feel about CJ Stroud

No different than Fields. Yesterday showed this against better competition. This is with every Ohio State QB. I'm kinda digging the QB from Southern Cal. But, unless we get a franchise QB in the top 5, the dumpster diving in third round just occured last year and Corral needs to play. We are fortunate to have a solid offensive line for the most part, unlike Jets, Texans, etc so there's more of a chance for success whoever is back there. I still think it's Bryce Young or out.

Fields can at least scramble and run, Stroud gonna take 4 sacks a game. I'm leaning the same way, OK with Young, but I'm fine with taking BPA, getting a vet QB, giving Corral a shot, and maybe you can grab a Penix/Hooker/Ward/McCall later on and have them battle for that #2.

Stroud made great plays all game until he was forced to make a play. Both of his interceptions were forced and can be easily corrected. One of them he tried to pitch to a receiver while being tackled and the other was tipped off the hands of a receiver. Ohio State Defense lost them that game, not Stroud. I've never seen so many blown coverages and open wide receivers running down the field. McCarthy didn't even have to throw dimes.

If Stroud is there, you take him 100%.

Insane when there is a pocket passer available, you guys bitch that he's not fast and mobile enough. When there's a running quarterback available, you guys moan that you'd rather have a pocket passer.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
