That is what I mean, maybe he didn't get the info that he would be an early pick.

Also, remember that risk is less with the NIL. Insurance policies for athletes have always existed, so they have that protection but now they have the ability to add some potentially serious cash in their pockets in college, as well.

I think he is making a mistake not going to the draft because he is probably a guaranteed first-rounder. If he plays next year and suffers an injury, he may fall out of the top three rounds

Pretty sure if he was told he’d be drafted in the first two rounds, he wouldn’t make the decision to return this early.

Hard to say. Andrew Luck returned when he would have been the #1 overall pick. 

Unless Penix decides to spill the beans, we are just left to speculate and take him off our personal mock draft boards and QB rankings for 2023.
