Nah. If Richardson goes in the first round, he will be a starter in the NFL, even if whoever drafts him makes him sit half the year or a full season first.

Ryan Leaf Jeff George Vince Young all went high too.....

When I say success I mean actually have the ability to win.

Maybe in preseason or if he's the number 2 and the starter goes down, provided he's still here.

They picked him up as a "steal" in the third in their eyes, widely publicized as such, what about that says "backup".

You guys need to see him play in the NFL before prematurely writing the dude off.

Who in the world rated him that? He was top 5 to top 7 his entire career.

He has the most perfect games of all time and most 500yd games.

No Eli wasn't Elite but he was better than Cam.

I hate everything Steelers but

Ben > Cam as much as prime Cam > Matt Moore

Prime Cam was better than Big Ben ever was.  It's just that prime Cam was short lived.  And he had Ron Rivera as his coach in his 1 Super Bowl appearance.

You mean how he blew the game 100 percent vs Washington before the injury?

Or the 8 yd pass to DJ after the injury that he sailed over his head vs Detroit.

His passing ability absolutely held us back. Period.

He won plenty of games passing the ball. Stop making stuff up.

What, should have come out and said they moved up to get the shiniest turd in the bowl instead of saying he was a "steal" in their eyes? Did you really expect them not to talk up a guy they used a draft pick on?

At this point I think he is a realistic option for us as I think we will be out of Young and Stroud range. The argument for him over Levis is they are both projects but Richardson potential is through the fuging roof

This

what this kid has can’t be taught

a lot if things said about him was said about Jackson

as Gil Brandt said about QBs, ‘if he is your guy at that position, you go get him. You don’t care about draft position in the first   You wait and another team won’t. “

    • Plenty of teams are QB desperate so someone will probably roll massive dice on Willis and give him a legit franchise QB contract but that's insane. He hasn't done anything that warrants anything more than signing a short term prove it deal and being offered a fair chance to compete for a starting job in camp. Signing up for any commitment level beyond that would be crazy.
    • I don't know that he is a pro bowler but I think he has earned the right to compete for a starting job. I think if he were in this draft he's the number 2 QB behind Mendoza. And his tools are better than Mendoza in terms of arm mobility. That said Mendoza is far more advanced as a passer. I think if I'm one of those QB needy teams that needs a starter this season like are we saying he isn't better than Sanders? I think we are asking is he better than Kyler? I know he's better than Fields. And at this stage in his career he's better than Rodgers. So the idea that he won't start somewhere to me next year I can't see it
    • Maybe that's because we don't have a good tight end? I don't think anyone we have at tight end warrants the kind of attention Sadiq would. Like talent wise he's on a different planet than probably all our tightens combined
