again..you are basically saying he cant lose a game..that is basically an impossible feat to set on the guy...any big named coach we hire will lose to teams we should beat as well.

No, that's saying that he can lose a couple games, but not this game.

It's not an impossible feat. Beating the Steelers was not a  impossible feat...and if it is, then that is an even bigger red flag and reason to NOT hire him full time.

He didn't have to go undefeated.

He had to win this very winnable game with what he had....at home

Time to move on

I’ve supported Coach Wilks

Today, going for field goals instead of trying to win by going for it and if it wasn’t made, pinning Pittsburgh back was a deal breaker for me

it’s not like the panthers had anything to lose by, at last pretending to be creative on offense.

the fact that this team had everything to play for and nothing to lose to come out flat like they did, and those with  the C on their jerseys not doing more, I’m in favor of blowing it fully up …staff, Fitterer, moving players, all of it

both lines got beaten…the defense with all those high draft picks and the offense with a rebuilt line and they still suck

they can’t play the Falcons every week.

This is the first time this year Trubisky looked like an NFL QB. Our defense was flat out abused and our vaunted run blocking OL looked like the 3 stooges.

Wilks has shown he can take a bad team and make them average.   That's not the same as taking an average team and making them winners.

I love the guy and what he stands for but watching today seemed to show he's not in Tomlin's class. When a team that has everything to play for gets trucked by a team that has no real reason to win it doesn't seem to be a good sign. He clearly has more substance than Rhule but I feel the same about hiring him long term that I do about darnold.  Good people, just not going to accomplish what we all want.

Low ceiling. Too low.

I mean the Steelers always beat the poo out of us.

And did you hear when they kneeled for the win? This wasn’t a home game for us at all. Never is when they are in town. It’s pitiful.

This, I fugging despise how Pittsburg is represented in this state. Same thing for the Penguins against the canes, they are always represented here. It is embarrassing.

I like Wilks

This is kind of a key phrase.

Damn near everybody likes Steve Wilks, and likewise everyone respects him.

But do we believe he's capable of leading the team to become a perennial contender?

I think we want to.

He's like that person you dated that you aren't really attracted to but you like so much you wish you were.

Over time though, you come to understand that's just not gonna happen 😕

Another thing that is not fair to him (or us) is we compare to him to Ruhle, who is the worst coach in team history.
