He'd be pretty well acquainted with the Shanahan tree. That's tree's been picked over a lot, though.

If you wanted to pick from that tree though, I'd probably be more interested in Mike LaFleur. Ryans is almost as inexperienced as Kellen Moore.

We playing the name who wasn’t successful game because that list is longer..

it’s about the make up of the team.. And this team needs experienced coaching now not a guy trying to figure it out..

It'd be one thing to play the game, but that resume bit is the truth for the best coaches in the game today.  You interview and assess who'd be the best coach possible, don't let the paper do the elimination.

Like Ryans as a candidate though would prefer an offensive mind like the majority of others. Additionally, the personnel on the defensive side of the ball in San Francisco is quite superior to that side of the ball in Carolina though we do have some pieces. He probably has the best DE and LB in all of football playing together in SF.

And my opinion is if your resume doesn’t consist of any HC experience then it’s not a good fit for this team as constructed today…

And again, the issue with hiring a DC and him getting a rockstar OC is if the OC is any good, he won't be here very long and you'll have to start all over again with your scheme and philosophy offensively, which is much harder to do than on the defensive side.  I'm just tired of it.  We need to dictate the game on the offensive side first.

And for those saying Ryans is different, everyone was salivating over Salah for years.  And I believe he is a great coach, but he is struggling with the same issues that every DC ruined HC had and does.  Their offense lacks direction and identity and he seems in over his head because they haven't figured that out - namely a QB and a quality OC.  He has the same connections Ryans would have.  And again, ever wonder why innovators of the defensive game like Buddy Ryan, Jim Johnson, and Dick LaBeau were never superstar HCs?  There are certain limitations inherent to the defensive background.

I mean the list of unsuccessful’s is longer always, in anything competitive ever.

      I believe Lloyd will elevate not just the whole unit, but also whoever his running mate is. Wallace is still very young, I think he's only 23 with two years of exp now. Cherelus can handle starting, he's just fighting with staying healthy. Kuwatch I think is going to be a contender after a couple week of understanding the system.  I mean Lee will be against..... what nearly 10 NFL-level WRs, he's going to get work and its up to him if he can hang.  I think its fair to expect 12th +/- 3 or 4 spots.  You know this, it boils down to how healthy everyone stays.....cause if dbrown, horn, Lloyd, Michael Jackson, or tervon miss extended time.....no way 10th can be reached. IF all the names above remain haethly, I do think 10th should be the goal. They are a young unit and added talent to a 16th ranked unit. Its time to march forward!!

      Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.

      Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays.
