This is actually a good sign. He’s actually thinking this through and weighing all his option. No Drummond or Hurney is a big W too. I wonder which candidate they told they’d do a finalist group interview?

Sean Payton and the finalist interview was today

I’ve always thought it was more a case of over correcting to a similarly bad practice on the other end of the spectrum. So because Tepper was a bonehead last time and fell in love with another bonehead, now he’s going to interview way too many people with way too many people involved, overthink it because he under thought it last time, and make another mistake. Hope I’m wrong or that we just luck into the right coach, but this whole process has reeked of over correction to me.

Very solid point and well said. I don’t know if there is a correct way to do this. But what I do know is whatever he did last time, don’t do that again.

I think that Fitterer is our GM this time around which is why our process is different. Fitterer knows he has to get this right.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
