Sam Darnold had the 13th worst QB win in NFL history if we measured passer rating

That’s cool, and I agree with your first paragraph. I’m not down with the 2nd. My backup can’t be both inaccurate and have serious issues with processing what they’re seeing on the field.

And, as long we’re being consistent with our labeling, I’m cool. If you’re going to call one inaccurate, and point to his numbers as proof, then we need to do the same with others that display those same %’s.

Jake Delhomme was 59.4% and Derek Anderson was 54.3%. I've read on these boards that both these guys and Darnold are more accurate than Cam. This doesn't compute.

Still having a difficult time not insulting ppl with a differing opinion I see.

Not one person wants Sam back as our starter. But don't let that stop you from a good insult.

I ignore you and now I get flooded with poo reactions. I have sympathy for you.

Don't you get it? You are supposed to loathe Sam as much as he does.  If you do not hate Sam's guts, to him you are Sam's jock sniffing diehard fans. There's no in-between, just one extreme or the other.

You're still stewing because I disagreed with your immediate reaction to one of the ten worst passer ratings in league history by blaming the receivers for not being open. Now who's the angry one?

Jake Delhomme didn't really play in the present-day era.   Completion % averages and expectations for the QB have gone up because of the way the game is called now.

Look at it this way :

They value your opinion for the amount of poo you get.

If they didn't, they wouldn't give a s--t.

Kind of like if, for example, I say "I don't care what you say about this and that....yadda yadda yadda" and then poo your post when I don't agree with your opinion on yadda yadda yadda....That means that I actually do care.  Think About It GIF by Identity

When was this said and by who?

It's been a thing that's been said for years on this board, mostly by people who never wanted Cam Newton on our team for whatever reason, not just in Cam's last season. Most recent guy I can think of who debated this was Catsfan69, but there have been other posters who aren't memorable over the last decade make the same claims.

These interactions are just for fun. Even when things get testy (butthead laugh) between people. But Gerry Green aka iamhubby1 does not practice what he preaches so don't fall for it. I laugh at him and wish him well.

Yeah, but it's so much fun getting them all riled up. And it's so easy. Just say something positive and watch the fireworks. lol

    • Every NFC team that we needed to lose today won
    • That's a good point.
    • I actually had some extra money and decided to do something I've never done before...I put 100$ on the panthers.  If I lose, eh whatever, but the absolute complete disrespect is just kinda surprising.  Things to consider. Panthers have won their last 3 road games After an abysmal start on the road, the panthers have won the last 3, granted game 1 was against the Jets, but the other 2 were solid road victories, one being the Packers and one being the Falcons and while some may dismiss Atlanta due to the record, that was their legit final gasp at life and a loss essentially killed their season and putting a team away in a make or break game is always difficult. The 9ers havent been great at home The 9ers are 7-4 on the season but even with that record they are 5-2 on the road and only 2-2 at home and even that is kind of missing the home road split more.  They beat a rough atlanta team at home 20-10 and a 1 point win against a pretty bad cardinal team (yes I know we lost to them). Stopping making 49ers 1 Dimensional I think we're all aware of the weaknessess the panthers have how we are potentially to be exposed by Kittle and CMC.  those are VERY viable critiques.  However, thats in the passing game, but the 9ers are 6th worst at running the ball, they arent a great team between the tackles, and as such our front should be able to stop that middle of the field and make everything go outside which is where having Moerig in a Buffalo Nickel will help.   Before people poo on me, Im not all sunshine pumping, I VERY WELL could see us lose this game, and maybe even get embarrassed, HOWEVER there is a lot to like about our potential.  For playoffs this game has a ton of meaning and You have to know the team knows that, a loss hear loses a tie breaker with a team potentially for the last spot.  They will be focused and I didnt even mention the homecoming of sorts for Bryce and Tmac who are gonna wanna show out back in Cali. Summation, panthers win 30-24
