That Dallas offense was a machine when Dak wasn't throwing the ball to the other team. I think Emmitt has it wrong here. Sometimes Dak threw the damn ball just to throw the ball. He wasn't considering what color jersey that guy was wearing.

Can't criticize Dak though...

I hope not, but probably.

Then again, if Reich continues to call his own offensive plays the OC hire is going to be a lot less crucial than it usually is.

I'm not so sure.

I wish there were folks in our building who could've reached through the mental fog to get to Tepper as he was falling in love with Matt Rhule with the backdrop of Marty Hurney shoveling meatballs down his throat.

His chosen advisors were Marty and Steve Drummond. It was doomed from the beginning.

I would love it.

Word is, though, that Pep is tied to that area because his son is in high school there and is making a name for himself as a QB and Pep wants to be a part of it/present for it. I wouldn't blame him for trying to find some way to stay in that area.

He's among my first couple choices for OC, though, Brian Johnson being the other.

I’ve seen a bunch of people mentioning Pep. Not criticizing, but just curious, what has he ever done that should make me excited about him?

    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
