Reports are Green Bay would prefer to trade him but I don’t think he’s made up his mind. Who knows with that guy. But he’s threatened to retire for like 5 years now and ends up playing for the Packers. Just a guess.

Green Bay has said if they do trade him, it'll be to an AFC team.

Rodgers isn't an option for us

don't know if it's been mentioned, but right after we signed Coach Reich, some reporter noted that he tried to trade for Carr....three times.

I'll also say, if get Carr without giving up any draft picks, we can really load up our team in one draft.

CBS Sports reported that the Colts made the Raiders an offer for Carr before settling on Carson Wentz.

So yeah...

That's an understatement!

We'd have 4 picks in the first 2 days of the draft. We could potentially come away with 4 solid starters before Day 3 of the draft.

I don't really want Carr, but there is a decent amount of smoke & positives circling.....

  • Oddsmakers having us as the top destination
  • We were an average QB away from being playoff bound
  • Reich's interest in Carr before
  • Reich and Carr's religious foundations
  • If Reich, McCown & Caldwell have a glimmer of hope for Corral, Carr gives them a year or two to evaluate/mold
  • No need to give up draft capital to get a QB here; use draft picks to surround offense with a WR & TE
  • Instantly puts us in the driver seat for the NFCS crown
  • Keeps him out of New Orleans
  • Third time's the charm for vet, castoff QB brought in to solve the QB1 issue

For a QB looking to rebuild his resume......panthers looking sooo hawt right now...

Im not a Carr fan, but like him more than many huddlers.

Carr has had 20 HCs during his raiders era, think about it.....I bet more OCs too...

Raiders have ranked 32 in defense since Carr was drafted.

Then theres the one playoff game and inconstancy, but I blame the raiders org much more than Carr.

Hes in the Cousins group for me.

    • While I really hope things pan out for the young man, sometimes you've got to make a calculated guess on your returns. I wanted so bad to see us use our first round pick on a LB, C or TE this season, but I think this one injury changes everything. I might suggest taking the best and the second best OTs available in the draft with our first and second round picks. The injury to Icky really makes the first one a good choice and an affordable one. And Moton, who is long in the tooth, needs someone in the wings behind him.  This also means that BC is going to need to get a contract for this upcoming season both as a starter at LT and to train the younger player behind him. Also it means that we need to extend a solid contract to Cade Mays and lock him down as our Center for the next four years. Maybe Icky can recover fully and be a starting LT again, but the odds aren't in his favor. Maybe he could be back in line to play as a guard right as our current starters' contracts wind down. It's not pretty having to spend all your picks and money on the line, but it seems to be the wise investment in light of everything.
    • Unfortunate situation.  if one of the top LTs fall in the draft I think it’s a no brainer draft pick. Then if icky returns he can move to guard and replace one of our highly paid guards that are here now.
    • I dont really expect anyone to have any character or values when the system doesn't. I would respect those who did though. College Football is losing what little interest I had in it. I wasn't against giving the athletes some control but whatever this system is will kill it over time.
